When the PPA uses better regulation as one(of many) basis for repeal of the UGIEA, are they being disingeuous, or is better regulation needed?

Don't be convinced of anything. Keep an open mind both ways or, quite simply, your mind will be closed.

Many marijuana advocacy groups push for regulation along with legalization too, but do you really think they want expensive (but legal) weed? No, but they know without letting legislators get their beaks wet, they'll never go along with anything.

The PPA's options are either push for:
1) Legalizing online poker completely for the benefit of players and sites
or
2)Legalizing online poker completely, and bring in U.S. regulation that will allow the government to ensure money is tracked so taxes are easier to collect

I've never seen any PPA information regarding regulating the sites as fair or anything like that, just ideas like making the sites pay x% of each deposit or things like that.

tl;dr The PPA is pushing for different regulation than the riggies.

I guess it's open to interpretation, but their website has a mission statement...

"The PPA’s mission is to establish favorable laws that provide poker players with a secure, safe and regulated place to play."

...again, open to interpretaion, i guess.

Interpretaions often reveal more about the interpreter than what is being interpreted........

LOL, get a sense of humor. Stop trying to make each small thing into something it's not. The dude Josem was referring to obviously had no clue what he was talking about and then stated so. Pretty obvious to me.

I have?

Even if that's the case, I hereby reserve the right to insult people when called for - especially in cases where the benefit to comedy is so strong.

Please feel free to insult someone, Josem. Particularly:

[x] PenileDemolisher
[x] BeatingitSenseless
[x] poopflinger

** I'll be back. I'm high as hell right now and I'm about to watch back to back episodes of Nurse Jackie and Spartacus! I look forward to seeing some insults later.

Comedy is not the benefactor.
I begin to believe that about you, sorry.

It was delated. Gee how odd. I have heard some rumors about FT in certain circles. I think their days are numbered. Sometime this year big news will hit about them. Not any rigging neccesarily, something fiscally major.

[ ] BeatitSenseless knows what 'benefactor' means..

(Clue: I think he means beneficiary.)

It's always a little sad (mixed in with a lot of funny) watching someone who is convinced he's cleverer than he is post and prove it.

It's particularly poignant when someone like BS immediately demonstrates the effect ...

... by using a self confessed example of illiteracy to defend himself against a charge of, um, ... , illiteracy!

He exhibits an almost transcendental stupidity.

Indeed.

I suspect that BeatitSenseless is used to roaming the school playground with a group of similarly low IQ types who counter any intelligence they meet with some irrelevance and all cackle and jeer, backing each other up, and hence deluding themselves that their nonsense is in some way clever and valid.
