I think that you could have taken a more aggressive approach on that JT hand pre-flop. and considering you've taken an "unorthodox" approach to measuring your tournament success, my opinion is that your approach isn't correct at all.

here's another bit of related, conflicting data I'd like to add for consideration...

the latest rigtard says that folks would just fire up another MTT if they go out early. me? I can't wait to quit.

however, the fact that people suck so badly with small stacks in tournaments is one of the reasons I have shown a profit over a few years of microstakes donkamenting over the years. so even when I have a short-stack, I generally do well, while others play so tragically it sometimes brings tears to my eyes.

how does that get worked in?

not to mention the timing of it all. oh brother!

Odds are that both theories cannot both be true at the same time, however that does not stop both from having people who believe they are each absolutely true. They tend to not have databases of hands they can analyze as well. Go figure.

Ok, there is a logical explination of why shortstackes gets more bad beats, it is becouse they gets called more often. But i still believe that there are some particular players witch dont mater what they do, they cant win. I am refering to MTTs. Becouse as far as i remember exept 1 case that i shoved my chips from a bb with 6 players left with 109s to a UTGs min raise i havnt done any stupid things in order to have such bad results. All the time i get donked out by most redicoulus way, and there is no way to change it. Maybe i should keep staying calm and patience, and i will have my share of luck. I have a buddy witch was also losing money, but he was making 100$ deposit 1 time a week and he was playing few MTTs. Then one time he got sick 2 week rush, witch resulted in 7K over all profit, when he had about 7K loose. Maybe i will get mine, who knows :-p. There is just some things that i dont like, and i see it completelly out of ordinary but when i check statistics all matches up. But, i guess that if i would analyze it closer i would find something like my AA holded up 76% of the time, but 26% of the time the pot was won preflop.

that's an entertaining fairy tale. especially the part where you said you have a buddy.

why don't you make a gimmick account for him so "he" can give some anecdotal evidence to back up your little story?

I sometimes wonder why almost all posters who put forth these theories can't spell or construct proper sentences. Is there a chance that both behaviors are correlated with general intelligence? This is a serious question.

Even if this isn't true, it certainly reduces the chance of being taken seriously when you can't describe your argument in an educated way.

Re: The great "Poker is rigged debate" - Collected threads edition

ok, so when i am saying that my buddy had a 2week streak after running bad in MTTs when he actually made 7K of profit, i am still saying somekind of theory ? I think you guys are to obsessed with this thread. Let me explain better - What i said is that after 2K of MTTs he finally got his share of wining and made his ROI positive. Now, with this i am not saying that it is rigged, i am saying that the variance done its thing. Finally he got a fair share of his investment. But, as i said you are so obssesed that you saw some kind of theory in those words. Get a life.

"You tell yourself that's poker until it happens time after time after time.

I enjoy playing poker online but I'm about ready to give it up. There doesn't seem to be a site to where it plays out like a casino. You see bad beats in a casino but NOTHING like Full Tilt and Poker Stars back when I played over on that site.

Curious as to others observations. Is there a site that's on the up and up or is it time to retire from online poker where you start to get the feeling the deck literally is stacked against you? "

OK, so you obsessively poast to a thread on which you believe obsessive poasters obsessively poast.

You keep playing poker (and losing, although you don't seem to have realised that yet) on sites you believe are rigged.

Can anyone spot a pattern here?

When you bang your head against a wall and it hurts, do you stop?

(Or do you poast to a wall group complaining that all walls are rigged to hurt your head?)

well it would make a lot of sense to go to the most popular PRO-walls forum and take those complaints there.

Without any patterns that can be analyzed or given a statistical base, its hard to prove such a theory.

As i noticed, there are no pros in this thread. Only people who almost live here . But anyway, i am enjoying a chat here. Would you please, leave all rigtard problems for your self and answer a question :
What about online bots ?
Its only thing i need to know, i dont care about "walls" or about how u spended your last saturday, or how someone invited you to eat ice cream sandwiches. I am not acusing, i am just asking. And if you dont have anykind of answer please dont quote me.
