No, nothing is wrong. Inferior hands are going to show down against your superior hands more often when in fact they catch. You're not going to see all the times they fold against you. There's no logical basis for what you're talking about. If you really believe there is, you need to present it in a much more scientific way so we can get to the bottom of what you think is wrong.

i wish you were right, and I wont quit online, but it certainly makes me lean toward the casinos. And again who is really watching these guys? Thanks for the response!!!

to be honest, if you're 100% firm in your beliefs (whether wrong or not), you probably should quit online because you're never going to trust it and it'll probably keep you from playing your best game instead of focusing on the things you can control

I emailed support and asked when the last time their RNG was audited. If you all remember I did the same thing a few months ago, and after they ducked the question for 2 weeks and 20 emails, they finally said it had NOT been audited since 2003. Fine, I thought it was fishy, but everyone said there was no need to audit it again bc teh RNG had not changed. In fact Stars themselves told me this in an email.

I decided to email and ask the same exact question again. I got this response...

Hello xxxxx,

Thank you for your email.

PokerStars last had our RNG audited by Cigital very recently: we
expect to be publishing a summary of the results of their audit
in the next few days.

I trust that this has been helpful to you, but please feel free
to contact us again anytime if we can help you further.

Regards,

Michael J

Now either one of two things is going on. Either "very recently" means 2003, or the actually got the RNG audited again. WHY WOULD THEY HAVE TO IF ITS THE SAME RNG?

Well considering Michael J, from your email, is Josem, why don't you ask him.

I'm sure since the fuss was made, they made arrangements to get an audit.

oh for the love of god, who gives a crap

As has been said a million times, the output is there for everyone to see, Stars could have an audit done daily and the rigtards are just going to ask why they should trust the auditors.

why was I specifically told that the RNG did not need audited again unless it somehow stopped performing as expected?

Hello xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx,

Thank you for your email. The last official audit on
the RNG was in 2003 although thousands of players
continue to audit it on a regular basis utilizing hand
histories and analysis programs. Please understand
that further audits on a random number generator are
not necessarily unless evidence arises that it has
somehow stopped performing as expected
; such evidence
has not surfaced in regards to our RNG.

I hope that helps answer your question. Please let us
know if there is anything else we can do for you.

Regards,

Larry

So basically, it works like this:

No recent audit - suspicious
Recent audit - suspicious

And that's why threads like this will never, ever die. No matter what regulation there is, you will never make everyone happy.

Why do you keep reposting this?

No, you left out a possibility. They could do another audit even though it wasn't necessary, if they felt it would be good for PR or some other reason. Or if they've made some kind of change to their software/RNG in the last year or two. Or, or, or..

Or we could just wait for an answer from someone at Stars rather than endlessly speculating!

being told an audit wasn't necessary unless RNG wasnt working properly and an audit is sub sequently done - suspicious.

Yes... finally you realize you're an idiot. That's what we've been trying to tell you. Good job, but I don't believe you. It still needs pointing out, imo.
