what's this obsession with people "talking down" to things?

you're a lying nut-job.

you claim that whenever you post things they come true within a week. I asked you to give us one example, you ignore me.

you say that your results are statistically outside expected results, but when I ask for proof of that, again you're silent.

you said you're gonna drop some bombshell on us, but after 4 months and a few hours, still nothing.

you said something to the effect of "there you go saying 'we' again" and I asked you to show where I did - again, zilch.

so what state's sex offender list are you on? I'd like to see your picture.

Same misspelling of consistent too. Good catch. Now it all makes sense.

qpw - let's be honest here. The "steven meares" on golden tee is not the one who used to post here, it is a gimmick account a 2+2er created back when we were having fun with the real meares. And that comment you linked to was posted today, after tk1133 posted his here. It was obviously copied over there, probably by you.

That doesn't make him not a rigtard, we don't need tricks to see that. But I should have known better myself, I'm embarrassed I fell for it.

After one particular bad beat suck out fest on PokerStars, I, tilted to the max, sent a polite email to PS support questioning their sites integrity . To their credit, they actually sent me back an email. A form email, but it is better then the no response I got from Full Tilt to the same set of questions.

Here is a copy

Hello xxxxxx ,

Thank you for your recent email.

I can assure you that our company make its profit from the rake and
registration fees of all of the real money games that we offer.
Therefore, the outcome of the games we provide, by that I mean who wins and
loses etc, is of no consequence to us. Thus, for us to manipulate the
shuffle in anyway or to somehow cause some other effect on the game would be
of very little gain to us.

We have nothing to gain by favouring one player over another. We make our
money simply by having people play more hands. If we tried to bankrupt
certain players, we lose out on money by rake.

Let's assume for a moment that we did do this though. In this very
hypothetical situation, let's then assume that a PokerStars employee gets
sick of it and releases compelling evidence that it's true. We would then
likely lose a large percentage of our players, if not all of them. As we
make our money purely from rake and tournament fees, we would therefore go
out of business. So what's the point in doing it? A debatable short term
gain in return for losing the entire business isn't a very good trade off,
irrespective of mathematical, moral and legal reasons to not cheat our players.

I hope that this email helps to reassure you that we do indeed run an honest
game here. Please remember that, we provide you with any detailed
information you require in order to perform your own investigation should
you continue to doubt the integrity of our site.

I hope that this clarifies the matter for you.

Please do not hesitate to contact us should you require any further assistance.

Good luck at the tables.

Regards,

Lee B

they do make a few good points. I suppose PS is actually on the up and up, unlike some sites out there...

Only because I prefer facts, I'll point out that Joe Norton was never personally on the KGC, and was not the Mohawk chief when the scandals occurred (he left the job in 2004). Certainly he was involved with setting up the KGC back in the 90's, and he of course owns AB/UP and some of MIT. But he was a businessman, not a tribal official or KGC official. This is not a defense of anything, just a fact check since you like to spout too many things that aren't true.

Norton also claims the insiders were there when he bought the company, which he had owned for less than 2 years when the scandal happened. He fired them all and paid back the players. Again, I'm not defending him (and he does have a checkered past), I just like to be accurate.

Edit - and no I don't play on AP/UB and would not. Just saying.

Well I'm from Cleveland too, must be the school system here...but uh...I'm not the one that has admitted to using a spell check. Some have even confessed to going out of their way to get one. Ok you guys claim to be smart. Let's count the all the words i've written(b/c it's appearant that I don't have a spell check of any kind) and calculate how many words I've spelled correctly as opposed to how many words I spelled wrong. Since you guys are poker gods, this should be a fairly easy thing to do. "It's the only true way to see if my spelling is that bad." Can I get a ratio?

Most smart people use Firefox, which comes with an automatic spell checker (checks spelling as you type, like Office products).

I'm going to take a guess and say you use IE, correct?

If I called my friend on the phone or If i were sitting at a casino and said I only play live now b/c i think online poker is rigged. Do you think they'd care? Do you think the guy sitting next to me would flip the table over and cuss me out? So what makes this different? It's bad press. That's why your taught to disect every thing that's said bad about online poker, and you even have a reference guide as how to "debate." You studied on how to debate so you could defend the almighty and honorable online poker? I'm the one with a life. Notice I'm only on here a couple times out of the week...you on the other hand...I bet your on every single dating site. Do you do this at the E-Harmony forums as well? Wait for somebody to say that E-harmony is rigged b/c they put up fake pictures and profiles of guys looking for other guys. Then your the hero that comes to the rescue and informs everybody that those claims out outrageous and you've met plenty of men on there...?
