Guys, seems pretty clear that he was using "we're at an impasse" in the same way as "we'll have to agree to disagree". Can we move on?

I was assuming qpw and I were giving a demonstration of a genuine impasse. I even basically said that a few posts ago (my two blowhards comment).

You reaction is a correct one to an actual impasse by the way

I realize you got caught up in the wake, but seriously your attempts at attacks are just creepy and weird. This thread is all about having good clean fun, so call me arrogant, a jerk, an ass, or whatever you like and much of the time I probably will agree. Throw in all the weird penis stuff and personal relationship stuff and you cross that line.

Heh, the only people who say crap like that are people who think they are players, not because real players believe in luck, rather they realize how inane stuff like that sounds when being said. Don't worry, I will not ask you prove you play, what is the point.

Anyway, thanks for the fun even if you did sort of cross the line of good taste for a bit. You will learn though and be better next time.

Good results at the tables today (that better?)

I have said what stakes and how much i play many times. But why would i ever give proof, transparency goes against that hart of poker.

I have had guys stalk me on the rail for a week after some of the chat I inflicted on them at the tables. You genuinely think I care if you join those ranks? Just letting you know it makes you look creepy, do with it whatever you like.

This is not a philosophical debate, luck is generally considered a fun and cute after the fact measurement of how far above expectation a person ran.

How many differrent games are possible in poker ?

10 people each have 2 whole cards + the draw it must be millions of combinations. And someone have such a large database that can proof a random or a rigged deal (exspecially if you dont know all wholecards)?

I have no doubt that you get AA like expected and you win your fair ammount.

But how is it with games 66 78 JQs limp and the flop is 678 with a flushdraw for JQ that is a action hand..and exspecially at low stakes someone could increase the Profit/ RAKE.

You guys should really do some basic research on routine trash talk. Use google.

Hint:

What do you think the demographic is of those on the internet who confidently swagger and suggest to others how badly they need to get laid?

Do a bit of investigating. The results are not too surprising.

Second Hint: It's basically similar to the group who confidently talk about which models/celebrities they would "hit" or "not hit"

All the best.

Monty my friend, even though I don't agree with all of your opinions ( I do agree with a few though ), I do admire the way you have such strong faith in your convictions. The way you have tried to take on half the online poker community in this thread has provided me and probably many others great entertainment. Keep it up mate

Thanks, but realistically riggies and all-bluster/no play "shills" make up a really tiny, mostly harmless portion of the overall community. Fortunately they cram them all here for some relatively light, entertaining fun, of which my hands are as dirty as theirs in that regard.

If you want real nutjob zealots go to the politics or religion forums or try your hand in a 9/11 discussion thread. This is a fun hobby, those are not.

The shill/riggie stuff was getting really dull so why not mix it up for a bit, but once some of them go in stalker mode that pretty much is as far as that can go in terms of entertainment value as well. So now it's time to ignore them, let it settle down and cycle back to the relatively boring baseline shill/riggie debate that powers this thread for a while.

Only people left are the genuinely nice posters who are naive or those who have opinions I actually respect (spadebidder, Josem, Bobo Fett, SwedishMedusa, Arouet etc) and there is zero interest on my part in starting a fight with any of them for any reason.

Then again I did get a nasty bad beat then a KK/AA cooler deep in the daily 80k on Stars today, so maybe I will give Josem a hard time about that...

You make it sound like some huge deal. Banned posters were usually banned by a mod for breaking the rules; the fact that you know he banned himself must mean you saw his post in the "Ban me! Ban me!" thread. So what's the big mystery, and how are you expecting we will know? He's requested a one week ban, and if it's that important to you, ask him when he comes back in a week.

arcticbeatle, I hope you can make it through .10/.25.

Looks like you have taken some beatings at that level. That also seems to be the level were people start playing their PFR closer to their VPIP and 3 betting positional stealers.

There were many times I would find some weak tables and then 30 minutes later be surrounded by a table with every player having VPIP of 22 and PFR of 20 all with 3bet% over 10.

I think bots are also prominent at this level as well.

If you are not already doing this, I might suggest using some table selection tools.

I think I had made my most money at this level by just nitting it up on aggressive tables.

Good Luck.

My friends couldn't understand and I hate passing along bad information. But in my hay day on Stars. Most of my friends would accomadate their play w/ SNG's...mainly $6.50 turbo's up to $11 sometimes.

I did not care about my BR management and would prefer the 27.50's over 6.50's any day. They higher the buy in the, the less suspicious play...

Yes I'm on it right now.

Unfortunately due to your unethical play at Full Tilt, I'm going to have to close your account(self-exclude for 1 year) I apologize for any inconvenience and I hope you understand this is in the best interest of me. Unfortunately, your balance of X,XXX has been seized and will be disbursed amongst my friends at 2+2. (in which I have none)

Should you feel we drew this conclusion in error, please wait 72 hours before contacting our customer support.

Now Full Tilt is worse than Poker Stars ever was. The past month has been brutal. Tonight I've had pocket aces six times. All six times I lost to someone with a lower pocket pair.

I can't tell you how many times (at least 100 times the past thee weeks) where someone needs one card, especially two or three hours into a tournament, and they hit when odds are 90 to 95% in my favor.

You tell yourself that's poker until it happens time after time after time.

I enjoy playing poker online but I'm about ready to give it up. There doesn't seem to be a site to where it plays out like a casino. You see bad beats in a casino but NOTHING like Full Tilt and Poker Stars back when I played over on that site.

Curious as to others observations. Is there a site that's on the up and up or is it time to retire from online poker where you start to get the feeling the deck literally is stacked against you?

I play extreme less since 2007 for other reasons, cant complain i am up 30 -40 K with rakeback / bonus. But for me there is no doubt that the games are not random...that does not mean noone beat it.

Poker is still beatable, but you have to beat also the rake and better opponents....and added in my personal opinion a few created special games
