Can't, don't play there anymore, self excluded myself as well, I would love to have "somebody" pull it up, but it would give away who I am... and we can't have that...

Pretty awkward 37.51% thinks online poker is rigged, but just keep playing and keep posting bad bead threads trying to proove it...

If you think it's rigged just quit playing online poker. Pretty simple imo.

re: The great "Poker is rigged" debate - Collected threads edition

None of what follows proves rigging. It’s about what I’m experiencing and a prediction I made.

My cards have been running below breakeven every day since January 10 except for one day. Cards that are consistently running below breakeven are a handicap. It’s still possible to win with bad cards, it’s just more difficult.

Late on January 14, I posted that my cards had been below breakeven for over 2000 hands (which was the period Jan 10-14) and that I didn’t expect the next five days to be much different. I proposed a bet to lay $100-$50 that I would be dealt more small cards than big cards over the next five days (2000+ hands).

This prop generated a lot of criticism and flame which I summarize as “It’s obviously a stupid prop because it’s a coinflip and -EV for you, thus, you are a degen and a rigtard and…”

This is solid criticism. I do make “degen” bets sometimes, and it appears to be a coinflip and -EV for me.

In an unrigged world, I shouldn’t be able to make a -EV bet and feel comfortable. But I’m not sure this is an unrigged world.

This particular degen bet will be a winner. For Jan 15-17, my cards ran below breakeven at about the same rate as the previous period. For the period Jan 15-19, the sample size probably will be about 2500 hands.

I expect to be back on January 19 making the same prediction as before.

The next time you offer prop bets make it 10-1 or 20-1. Since you will never pay if you lose you will have a better chance to sucker someone into that freeroll spot for you. 2-1 is not enough appeal to people's greed to fall for your degen bet scam.

If you follow my advice and get some suckers that way send me a cut please. I like to think I earned it as a consultant.

As is, offering a prop as a complete stranger while refusing basic escrow conditions is best described as LOLtastic.

P.S. Your rigged theories are boring. Spice them up.

Maybe I'm incorrect, but he took your bet at the odds you offered, but the only things he requested was that the money be put in escrow and the hands could not have already happened. What was your excuse again for not taking the bet? That he should just trust you to pay the money if you lose? Seems to me like you are intentionally avoiding the bet.

Reading Monteroy’s posts inspires this image: a 17-year-old geek, foam speckled lips, flame shooting from his ass, furiously typing long angry posts.

Who would be comfortable posting with this guy?

In fact, Monteroy is a serious player with a winning record and good ROI according to OPR, so I guess the image is no good.

I’m still not posting with him. Or his friends.

Monty, your still posting in this thread? WOW. Do you sit here an yell at people who are on tilt and claim online poker is rigged? I think it's funny I came in here like a month ago (maybe less) and you responded to what I said, NOW I come back a month or so later, and your still in here arguing with people, I LOVE IT! Seriously, I love it!

I didn’t ask anybody to post and never will. If I proposed a bet for $7500 to $5000 like you did in one of your posts, I would agree completely that posting is necessary.

How would this be? If I win, you don’t have to pay me. You can donate $50.00 to the “Haiti Fund” through PStars. If this feels like a scam to you, at least it benefits a good cause.

Obviously, the period Jan 15-19 is not in play. Maybe we can get something going for Jan 20-24.

So basically, you proposed a bet you didn't think anyone would take. Then when someone took it with very reasonable rules (which anyone with half a brain would understand) you back out of it. Pretty weak imo.

Seriously. What is your problem with an escrow? It makes no sense to not use one. Especially considering you have already proven yourself to be a flip-flopper in this thread.

FROM what I can tell. From what I have read. NO one has suffered legal persecution. NO one involved in any of the SHADY dealings at ULTIMATE BET or the other.

THIS IS WHY THERE IS A PROBLEM IN THIS COUNTRY

The thieves and tricksters are not being put to trial and or held responsible.

The thread is a nice convenient way to relieve a bit of energy between sessions, and frankly I am impressed at some of the theories that show up here as a product of paranoid minds.

And truth be told, I tried posting in a 9/11 thread on these forums (as did spade) and the sheer angry level of those paranoid people was too much for me. I was not ready for those stakes yet, so I play this level where it's fun and a bit more casual.

This weird prop bet thing was a strange unfortunate diversion and I will be the first to admit that was not the best use of my time here. I figure it would be potentially entertaining to accept his degen bet with standard escrow conditions and watch him make excuses as to why it will not happen, and while that happened the results sort of sucked in entertainment value.

And as I have said before, I don't care if people think it's rigged, I just like having fun with paranoid people.

I agree about that bet, if he was serious about it, he'd clearly place it in an escrow so I'm on your side here. Just don't waste your time arguing about this rigged debate, it's like politics or religion. No one ever "wins" and everyone is going to have their own opinion no matter what we say.

IndianaV8, why don't you tell this thread, or ask him, about users "snooping" hole cards on his forums?
One user posted as I remember:
"Can't can't find the hook since the update this morning...."

Tk, I think we discussed this awhile back. As I understood that, it referenced the bots scraping or hooking (forget the actual lingo) the image of the pictures of the bot's hole cards. NOT somehow hooking other players' down cards. (and no, I'm not into this stuff, I looked it up when you brought it up last time.)

I'm no fan of what Indiana and his gang do, but let's not make it worse than it is now.

Your prop bet is getting even more annoying.. off then on, then more BS, then you try to get it back on.. STFU already TwoMoos. Nobody wants action against someone who doesn't follow "generally accepted" online prop bet rules. You fail to want to escrow the money. This means you're a liar and [definitely] not serious. There's a word for people like you: flake. Nobody likes a flake or a liar. Shut up already please.

** My bad. I think I was reading from the last page. I guess TwoMoos has dropped this (HOPEFULLY).

Riggies are starting to remind me more and more of UFO conspiracy theorists. Some of them should move out here to Vegas where they could take a drive out to Area 51. That way they could help "those guys" stake out the place. At least they might come up with something.. eventually.

But online poker, if it does become revealed that it is rigged [somehow], it WON"T be because any of the efforts of ANY riggies. I bet my life on that sht.

Sorry for the triple posts here, but I have a question (that shouldn't require an extra thread.. or perhaps someone can point me to an existing thread that covers my question):

Is it true that on the Cake Poker network, a player can change their SN? How often?

And what are your thoughts on this??
