re: The great "Poker is rigged" debate - Collected threads edition

I personally don't care what you "pros" can explain via variance, proper bankroll management, more hands per hour, tilting etc; about internet poker being rigged. I have spent quite some time analyzing all your "theories" on how it is NOT rigged, yada, yada. I just find too many inconsistencies with all this b.s. you guys try to force down our "rigatard" eyes, here on 2+2.

I personally think that you "pros" yourselves are super-using in some way, shape or form. Either that or, you work for the sites yourselves. Not to mention, I firmly believe only a small fraction of you "pros" are winning players by any means. I personally believe almost all of you "pros" are not even remotely close to "beating the game". You guys have every b.s. angle covered when questions/statements are arise/made about this online sham being rigged.

I see way too many "action flops", where two/three of us players go heads up and one flops a boat, the other quads. Or strong pocket pair vs stronger pocket pair. Not to mention, A-K's three betting flops, getting called by one other player, c-betting, getting check-raised, fold. I can go on and on..... I'm sure you intellectual "pros" get what I am saying. It happens beyond means of your "mathematical explanation"... My belief is that these sites have a quota for each table of hands they are supposed to juice, to maintain profitability. Each table has it's own set amount of money they must make every hour. Why not generate action quite often for max profit? All businesses have bosses/employees, whom have mouths, that must be fed. Right?

Yeah, go on and shoot every b.s. cover up angle you can now. Explain for the millionth time how, "The rake gets capped off so they don't make much profit blah blah.." and "Variance this, poor bankroll skills that....", I really don't give a cats tiny ball bag. There are just too many things that don't add up, far too often than your stupid math, psychology, statistics sheets, theories can account for.

Don't even ask me to provide statistical evidence about my "theory" or how I can back this up. I'm not going to even try to hurt myself. However I will say that in general, Poker players are scandalous, dubious, jive, degenerate, people by nature. Its hard to trust the sites alone. Mix that in with a bunch of hustlers and you get total chaos.

Point blank, you guys have every angle covered when it comes to explaining how internet poker is NOT rigged. There are quite a few of you "pros" that gather your little get along gangs, to achieve levels, "2+2 fame", "internet fame", or any other stupid motive behind why you do what you do and type what you type. Why don't you "pros" use your smart heads and try to prove it is rigged? It would be much more noble of you/valuable in MY opinion.

Why don't you "pros" try to help out the rest of the poker community by proving it's not always legit? Because it seems that, most of you "pros" cannot explain the unexplainable whatsoever. You just love bunching up and trying to look good. You cant explain the unexplainable because your either a follower or a parrot for a site or two..... Or,some of you "pros" are doing something illegal on these sites.

I don't want to go on forever because I am already going to face the lashings here. I can argue every standpoint you guys throw at me right now because I have already every "theory" here and studied them TRILLIONS of times and don't have much time on my hands. Don't waste your energy. I really don't care. How do us "rigatards" know that you guys are right or reliable? You are merely just another person behind a monitor and keyboard.... You are prone to mistakes yourselves.

Just a little note for those of you who believe in this SHAM known as internet poker.....,
Quit while you are ahead! If you have a strong conviction/notion that you are being manipulated online by any means, and are always getting the best but ending with the worst, quit! Really give some thought about the minor, microscopic, mini points I have made here, in a short amount of time. Stop giving your money away to some of these "predators" (more like con artists) and go play where you can really see whats surrounding you. Don't fall victim to one of the worlds greatest hustles/scams known as INTERNET POKER!!!

For all your "STATISTITARDS" lash all you want..... IDGAF! I will be up in the Poker After Dark forum, talking about this weeks AWESOME lineup! PEACE!

Just so much fail I was sorely tempted to respond to, but I'm confident enough that I'd be wasting my time that I'll just respond to this part:

Yes, I woke up pissed off on the wrong side of the bed, however I didn't appreciate the personal attacks made by a "stranger" that says, 90% favorites losing is "common." Common meaning "normal."

As my friend Inigo would say. "I don't think that word means what you think it means". I don't even think the post was directed at anyone in particular, and it certainly didn't strike me as an attack.

Regardless, I hope your day is improving!

No sht. I had to stop right there and give this fool some actual consideration.. for the duration of my laugh. Then after the laughter wore off I saw this:

I have already every "theory" here and studied them TRILLIONS of times and don't have much time on my hands.

Until Harrah's or MGM go live with a site that is in the US, governed by the US and taxed by the US we will always get cheated by these sites. They know all too well that they are immune from any sort of regulation or prosecution because they use the Mohawk Indians who can prevent anyone from coming on their property. In fact I was curious to see CBS drive bu the building where the servers are housed and said "under guard" I wonder how they would prevent anyone from gaining entry. You can play for hours at a time and just see how the site is cheating. How they give the miracle two outer more than it should hit. I have played for 8 st8 hours and have lost every hand I was way ahead in. A7 calling down QQ, AA getting cracked by J9o it just keeps happening. I guess I opened myself up by emailing the site and letting them know I see what they are doing but I will take it like a man. Something is going to give soon. FT and jokerstars will not be happy. I just hope it happens soon.

You are a Xenophobe and bad at poker. Live with it.

By the way, how do you feel about Enron? Where were they regulated again?

I hate online poker, had to buy a new trashbin every single day.

If i open full tilt, first hand i got 5-2 off, first hit to my trashbin.

I actually can't wait for the theories about any possible US regulated sites.

The crew from the west side has known about that for ages. I am sure everyone remembers the chinese white lion story. When the chinese invaded asia all the white lions run to the west. So is there any luck involved? I believe not, the stats will soon shove it all.

A lot of the old time riggedologists are incorporating a bit of weird semi self deprecation into their posts through strange sarcasm. I think it's a nice change since they pretty much took the battle where they could then gave up.

The new guys that post can be counted on for the rehashing of the emotional bad beat selective memory based theories.

Been a long time since people talked about flush draws though, I guess that fad passed in the riggedologist circles. Still waiting for straight draws to get their moment in the sun.

Does anybody remember someone claiming that if you folded a lot in a SNG on FTP, you'd get better and better hands to try to lure you into playing to speed things up?

The closest I could find was this post

but it's not talking about SNGs.

I'm considering testing this "hypothesis" in play money SNGs, since

1) I'm not going to waste a bunch of actual money on this nonsense
2) So far only a few people have said that play money would be rigged differently from real money (and I think they said it would be more rigged)

but I can't seem to find the actual claim.

There's also this

from April, which seems easily provable (again, play money).
