That is very logical actually. No one has ever been to the sun, therfore it does not exist. The earth is heated by global warming and the light come from the aliens that built the pyramids. Prove me wrong.

I think that just about sums up the thread.
When you have a 50% chance of getting a flush or a straight every hand it starts to make you wonder.

I know that would certainly make me wonder. Are you really getting a straight or a flush every other hand? Pretty shocking if true. Maybe you could post your handhistories so we can see for ourselves.

I look forward to receiving your data.

So online poker is now "faith?"

What if your state lottery drew their numbers behind closed doors, and you asked them to reveal how and when they draw their numbers and how their operations work. If they told you "No, we make so much money in losing tickets that we have no reason to rig our state lotteries...I'm offended your questioning my ethics and integrity..." would you be ok with that?

I think it'd be questionable if a lottery drew numbers in the dark, however extremely suspicious if they denied "regulation" and transpearancy.

Fortunately, you have a choice with online poker to play at sites that are regulated and transparent about their methods, so this analogy doesn't apply here.

I live in Ohio and I could make the same analogy for Ohio Edison and my electric bill, yet somebody is monitoring them...However, the lottery shows transpearancy b/c it has nothing to hide...? Do we make them draw in front of live television b/c they're gaurentee'd to steal?

Or you could just do what you're already doing, ignoring anything anybody says and continuing to just spout off whatever pops into your head.

ok, fine. I agree that there is a need for regulation. Fortunately, we already have it.

You have your tenses wrong there.

There was a need for regulation and that's what happened.

Just pop off down to anywhere chickens are hatching.

Once there pick the egg you are interested in and watch.

It will be obvious, even to a clueless moran which came first.

There is a need for U.S. regulation even if nothing else than for aesthetic purposes. It sucks that probably most of the U.S. population thinks online poker is illegal or untrustworthy (which, in some cases, is rightly so), and avoids it for those reasons.

There are other reasons for U.S. regulation too, but I don't think you can really debate that one.

There are a good few reasons against US regulation, too.

Enron, Worldcom and Lehman Brothers are a few that spring to mind.

Well, just for fun, what if there are initially no eggs present but you watch the hen for a while?

I agree, but not because it would somehow make the games "less likely to be rigged", which tk seems to be saying. The biggest reasons would be that the casual American players (that don't understand the current laws) wouldn't fear that it is illegal (as you pointed out) so the player pool would get fishier and larger. Also, it would make it A LOT easier for American players to deposit.

That's where the distinction between the definite and indefinite article come into play.

A hen can produce an egg.

But the egg can only produce the chicken.
