Wow. If anything, this thread should not be merged. I mean, this pure gold.

So did you think you were going to revolutionalise online poker with this study? Was this the thread, that were to be the detriment of 'unlucky' poker sites? Is this thread really supposed to change the way people play online poker for the rest of time? This thread right here? That OP? Thats the OP that cause a massive shift of millions of pounds to RNGs that are best?

You are going to need a bunch more zeros after that "10" before you get to a scientific sample. Your next study should be a book on statistics.

the RNGs are programmed to give better hands once the bubble has burst so that the tournament can end and more space is available for new SnGs to open up.
We are talking about capacity on a server here. The space needed for new SnGs is an incredibly small percentage of the total available space.

The RNGs obviously aren't as "random" as the sites would like us to think, but with a little study and thought, we can hopefully beat the system.
I assume the results of that study will be available for purchase on a forth-coming web site.

I was 100% thinking the same thing before I got to your post.

My post was going to be (and still is) "PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't merge this one!!!!"

Been a long time since one of the "OMG RNG" threads actually made me laugh out loud as I was reading it. This one is amazing in so many ways.

We aren't saying that online poker is rigged. Trying to help you make money by showing where is best for you to go for your own particular game plan.

If you are a LAG like Patrik Antonius you will probably do better at Party Poker or Stars because you will get more Group 5-8 hands and know how to outplay players on the flop with their similar hand ranges.

If you are a TAG like Harrington then FTP or UB is probably better for you as you will know how to get value from your range of bigger hands you are dealt.

The Hand Groups used were all from Sklansky Hold'Em book, btw.

Now how can I be sure you did it correctly? 10 stts is a lot of numbers imo.

Re: Study into "random" number generators and how you can be a winner by playing at "luckier" s

So what is the standard deviation? Without it you can't predict whether your study is statistically relevant. People who are going "lol sample size" are wrong in a way because there is no way to know what a relevant sample is WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE ANY KIND OF MEASURE OF VARIANCE.

You are either saying it is rigged or you are saying absolutely nothing. Pick one.

The only flaw I can see is that you don't say which accounts are in your name and which are in your boyfriends.

It goes without saying that the sites want more female players as this is their main target market moving forward, so several have programmed their rng to be kinder to female players.

I have this data.

We played 5 games on each account. The combined Hand Group score is given first with the average in parentheses:

PS Marina: 623 (125)
PS Jenson: 552 (110)

FTP Marina: 611 (122)
FTP Jenson: 869 (174)

UB Marina: 1004 (201)
UB Jenson: 889 (178)

EV Marina: 499 (100)
EV Jenson: 720 (144)

PP Marina: 426 (85)
PP Jenson: 483 (97)

We did look into this factor but considered the results inconclusive and of little use for the time-being.

Re: Study into "random" number generators and how you can be a winner by playing at "luckier" s

It's still so strange the people who say, "I'm not saying it's rigged. It's just not random!!"

Marina - Sorry you don't know diddly about poker, statistics, randomness or pretty much any of the things you are attempting to study. There is plenty on this site to help you learn about such things though and if you take some time to educate yourself you may eventually see how lost and incorrect all your stuff is. I think that's the last I'll say of that with sincerity for the time-being. Decent chance you are just dorking around for fun and aren't for real anyway.

How many points represents a single standard deviation, assuming the deal is perfectly fair and random?

Very very few threads/posts make me laugh, I mean actually bust out at my desk. Most that do are trying to be humerouus.

I am still chuckling a little.
