why would a great legitimate site such as Stars do such a thing, they are fair, honest and the RNG doesnt help the site at all. Suggesting that one player gets preferential treatment over another could mean u are insane, but, suggesting the site benefits from large pots and quick tourneys....i dunno, is that so insane?

If you have concerns about the 'timing' of a river card, you can email PokerStars and ask them for the precise second that each card was dealt.

I guess it's not really surprising that the same idiot who includes anti-semitism in his paranoid rant doesn't try to actually rely on evidence for his theory.

When they weren't!

When you consider the number of people that voted for that ****wit chimp-boy bush (in many case twice ) it's pretty impressive that enough people voted for Obama to get him elected.

anti-semitism????

Why would talking about Zionists be anti-semetic? Are you arguing with me that Zionists do not exist?

Pokerstars is another racket, they hide off shore, their motives are greed and they prey on new users and addicted losers chasing a dream of mommys basement to a mansion. The reality is that the money is leaving USA and going into the hands of offshore criminals who laugh at how dumb these young internet players really are.

They let you multi-table, and encourage it, why? Increasing their profits.

They give action flops with multi-way pots, drawing hands and made hands, why? Increasing their profits.

They hire pros as the face of the site, why? To offer some legitimacy, and also, to increase their profits.

If you are so disillusion as to think that stars is setting up for one player or another, and that is the argument as to why it is not rigged, then you are so shallow minded I feel for you. Once you realize that skill cannot win in online poker, unless A) ur cheating B) ur cheating, then you might get the clue and see the signs of obvious corruption and motive for any internet gaming site to be corrupt.

GL at the real felt, and hope some of you start asking some questions as to the integrity of online poker. I am on a mission to bring these sites down.

I know this is probably pointless but: putting potential motivation of the sites aside, do you have any - even a small amount - of actual evidence that this is going on?

Personal experience
Talking amongst friends who play
Reading other blogs who suspect

Do a Google search of online poker being rigged and you will get about 700 pages to choose from. Many people have had unrealistic beats happen over and over and over.

If you own a store and candy bars keep end up missing but you cant seem to catch the thief does that mean someone isnt stealing them?

If you get cheated in a live ring game cause of collusion by other players who know whats going on and share holdings info, does that mean it didnt happen if you cant prove it.

Please dont be stupid and jump on the idiot wagon claiming that "there is no way its rigged I win all the time"...to this I say wait and see what happens, wait a few years, in the long run there is no way to beat online, online WILL beat you.

Pokerstars is rich and sneeky, smart and cunning, they will not allow themselves to be outright caught. But, read others opinions, notice patterns, compare to any live poker game you have played in and then considering their motivations for greed and lack of enforcement and you have yourself an obvious conclusion.

Your nonsensical claims are not any more convincing because you use bold text.

On the other hand, if you were to use all capital letters, that might help your case.

No matter what text I use, you can argue till you bust. The rake will beat you not other players. GL though, and keep fighting that rake and site sped up tourneys. The idea that I write in BOLD CAPS LATIN GERMAN or any other kind of language doesnt change the outcome......

Pretty awesome how you went from "I'm not saying it's rigged" to full on bat**** rigtard.

If you're going to use Google results as proof, then I assume you alos believe the moon landings were a hoax, right?

It has 62x as many results, it must be truer, right?

Ok, let's take them one by one:

1. Personal experience: do you have a database, poker tracker, etc, that shows results grossly outside of expectation? Or are you basing this just on memory?

2. Friends: do your friends have any data to back these allegations up?

3. bloggers: do they have any actual evidence other than bad beat stories?

4. The 700 others: have they done any analysis to show they are getting more bad beats than they should? Do they even know how often these should happen?

The fact is: if the RNG is rigged then, as discussed in this thread, it should be provable. If its not provable then how effective could it be in boosting the companies bottom line?

What do you want as proof?

How can we compare the numbers of beats in a live game? Is there PT6 you can bring with you to the live game, hook it up to the table, unplug, go home and analyze the data to compare and contrast. Live play in many players experience isnt anywhere near as dramatic in the beats taken or amount of huge made hands when showdown occurs. In a live game a pair or two pair wins most pots, online, flushes and boats.

I have PT3, I analyze my losses and my wins, I see how percentages make sense on how often I get dealt aces kings and everything in between, but my profits on those hands never equate the way they would live.

I've played live 3 times, each for about 2 hours. The first time I busted out with a set over set. The second time a guy raised 72 on the button, shoved on a 72Tr flop and was called by a guy with JT. Turn J river T, obviously rigged. The third and most recent time, a guy at my table got quad Ks, and about 3 hands later a guy at the table right next to us got quad Ts.

Live poker is so rigged.

Heck, why would a business like pokerstars have any reason to speed up the games in tournaments, especially around the bubble? That is preposterous to even think up. Its not like players enter another one right after they bust, I mean full houses beat nut flushes all the time, its cause pokerstars deals so many hands per hour, quads over quads is a daily occurrence in and BnM. Its so obvious that there will be that many more bad beats.

So what if Stars doesnt have to answer to any authority, no gaming authority or actual countries laws, I know with all my heart they police themselves and do an outstanding job making sure that the software and RNG is legit, I mean they have paid people big big big big money to do testing and say it is legit. I would never question someone getting paid and their results to do a test for a company, never.

Pokerstars isnt rigged, come on guys, there is nothing to gain for them, what are they out to get just one of us, or hang on, maybe they wanna get all of us at the same time. If we all sit around on their site for long enough passing chips back and fourth paying rake hand after hand, tourney entry fees one after another Stars does gain and who loses? Nah, that would never be the case, its legit, all they want is a fair shake at the end and everyone to be happy, I mean they police themselves, they have to be on the up and up.
I agree, PokerStars pay their emploees enought not for them to opem Boiler Rms full of computers with Cosa Ricans playing on inside info into dead accounts, getting rich beating the Low Limit games 24/7.
Never would anyone try to cheat, that makes $30K a yr working for a company making $500 Billion.....Naaaa Say it Ain't So JOE?

I think "they try to end the tournaments quicker theory" is my favorite of all the rigged theories. Did I miss something and multitabling tournaments isnt allowed now? Is Stars trying to avoid having to hire more dealers? Or is it a masterful plan to reduce needed server capacity by 0.00001%?

Of course I just learned earlier on this page that allowing multitabling indicates a site might rig the deal, so who knows? Maybe I just cant follow airtight logic.

Re: The great "Poker is rigged debate" - Collected threads edition

I have a hard time reading posts by people who refuse to believe that it is even possible, maybe not probable, that any online site has interest in both speeding up MTT by adding action flops to induce action and building pots in live games to build rake.

It is as if questioning the legitimacy of an online site creates so much anger amongst a few people.

It wouldn't bother people to question offshore bank accounts legitimacy before depositing thousands of dollars, nor would you question purchasing a car from say Pakistan or the Phillipenes over the internet. Yet they deposit online into a bank account in an effort to make mirrions, i just laugh. Who do you know personally who has made mirrions playing online, wait even hundo of thousands?

Look at the rake paid, look at the bad beats, question the motives of the sites, question the legitimacy of these greedy companies, question the bad beats, question everything.

Evidence I have read from Stars supporters is as follows.

1. Learn probability, odds are your gonna see bad beats, gonna happen. NO, I can play for hours in a live room and remember one bad beat happening, play 30 min online, God didn't give me enough fingers or toes.

2. Sites need credibility to stay in business. Not true, they just need you to think they are credible.

3. They make so much money off rake already why do they need to make any more. What are you new? Greed my friends, unmoderated capitalism, if you could make 1 mirrion a day being legit and by setting up action flops enducing play can make you 1.5 mirrion a day, guess what will happen. Greed.

4. I win at online, how can it be rigged. Talk to me in five years, beat it, good luck, most will not make a consistent profit in the next five years, exclusive to US players.

5. Fools are saying its bad beats they happen, varience is a beotch....so are greedy folks who hide offshore and take Americans money after getting them hooked to online poker.

I hope some consider online is rigged, and if you dont consider it, you are the sucker in my OPINION. I am planning a trip to visit some of the pokerstars owners, have a little face to face time with them. I am so angry that us dumb Americans continue to waste our money on this rigged BS. Go to Vegas, Play in local rooms, play in home games, keep our money in our country, PLEASE!!!!!!!
