I dont find it strange that there are crazy bad beats with pf all in hands, or that there are action flops which might make rake increase. I dont worry about the sites luring in fish to keep the games going by giving them miracle rivers or punishing cashouts.

hey you silly-head...this is the freaking definition of "rigged." That's nice that you seem to have your own definition where you somehow think Stars does action-flops but isn't actually rigged. But your definition is incorrect. Action-flops is the same as saying it is rigged. Get it? Think about it a little bit and try to figure out what normal think of when they use the term "rigged."

OP - you are correct. The bot dealer has to count the chips before dealing the turn card, therefore the long dealy. This is PS way of simulaing a real life all-in after the flop.

I didn't say you were being sarcastic. I pointed out that you were saying it wasn't rigged while also saying that you think there could be action flops. This is 100% contradictory since action flops means the site is RIGGING the game (not truly randomizing it somehow).

Re: Delay of Turn and River card

These threads show real paranoia.

Of all the hundreds of thousands of people playing poker PS has decided to gang up on the OP and give him delayed bad beats...

or maybe it just picks out people at random...

Maybe that's a secondary function of the RNG.

Close the thread.

Re: Delay of Turn and River card

Let me tell you a story:

John, a passionate gambler, sees a newspaper ad about a new casino opening in his town. Of course, he is interested and decides to pay the casino a visit this weekend. As the day comes, he rushes in his car with several hundred dollars to the casino. After checking out roulette tables, various slots and poker room and slowly bleeding money, he reaches a table of blackjack, his favorite game.

Being very excited, he puts in a $10 chip and gets his two cards. He receives a hard 12. Showing the dealer to hit him, he receives a jack, busting his hand. Next hand is also a bust. Suddenly, the casino power grid, unprepared for the strain of a multi-story building, suffers a short blackout, causing the casino lights to flicker. John bets another $10 and then--imagine this--he gets dealt a natural, ace-ten! He happily collects his money. Several hands later, the lights flicker again and John receives another natural.

"Yes, that must be it! When the lights flicker, Lady Luck is sure to show me her pretty face!" John happily concludes. Seeing a third flicker, he bets $50 as the shoe is shuffled for the next hand...

Re: Delay of Turn and River card

I wasn't saying that internet poker is rigged, or that pokerstars is out to get any individual player or I would never suggest that pokerstars would go after everyone on the site....wait maybe I would suggest that. Nah, I'm sure they wouldn't try to make tournaments somehow speedup by dealing cooler after cooler, I'm sure action flops don't occur, I'm sure collusion doesn't exist and that the pokerstars police take an oath to be honest and live life with the utmost integrity.

Heck, why would a business like pokerstars have any reason to speed up the games in tournaments, especially around the bubble? That is preposterous to even think up. Its not like players enter another one right after they bust, I mean full houses beat nut flushes all the time, its cause pokerstars deals so many hands per hour, quads over quads is a daily occurrence in and BnM. Its so obvious that there will be that many more bad beats.

So what if Stars doesnt have to answer to any authority, no gaming authority or actual countries laws, I know with all my heart they police themselves and do an outstanding job making sure that the software and RNG is legit, I mean they have paid people big big big big money to do testing and say it is legit. I would never question someone getting paid and their results to do a test for a company, never.

Pokerstars isnt rigged, come on guys, there is nothing to gain for them, what are they out to get just one of us, or hang on, maybe they wanna get all of us at the same time. If we all sit around on their site for long enough passing chips back and fourth paying rake hand after hand, tourney entry fees one after another Stars does gain and who loses? Nah, that would never be the case, its legit, all they want is a fair shake at the end and everyone to be happy, I mean they police themselves, they have to be on the up and up.

Just yesterday, I was way ahead on all-in's and there was significant lag both times when putting the cards out. Yet, I won both hands. I don't get the point.

Zionism, the national movement for the return of the Jewish people to their homeland and the resumption of Jewish sovereignty in the Land of Israel, advocated, from its inception, tangible as well as spiritual aims. Jews of all persuasions, left and right, religious and secular, joined to form the Zionist movement and worked together toward these goals.

who owns pokerstars?

It's a delay for drama programmed into the software when no more bets are to come. Not associated with BB's though.

Like all of us, you just remember the BB's more than the wins.

Re: Delay of Turn and River card

Pokerstars isn't fixed is it?

They have nothing to gain, they are a legitimate legal poker site that has very high standards and wants us to believe bad beats happen, we play more hands, right, than we would in any home game or live room. People have made mirrions on stars, retired and are living in a mansion on a beach, wait that was the owners.

Online poker isnt rigged, nah.

Re: Delay of Turn and River card

Israeli owned poker site, PokerStars, is set to float on the London Stock Exchange with a valuation of around $2bn.

According to The Sunday Times, the world's second largest online poker company is in talks with a number of investment banks to enable a floatation to go ahead.

Last month, the poker site registered its five millionth player and is said to be making profits of between $150m and $200m a year.

Previously, it was suggested that PokerStars would be sold to either a bricks and mortar gaming company or a rival but a floatation is looking more likely as a way for the controlling family and well as other shareholders to realise money from their investment.

PokerStars is 75% owned by Isai Scheinberg and his family who live in Canada. Scheinberg was previously a computer programmer for IBM who specialised in Unicode and founded PokerStars in 1999 and operates it with his children running it.

If a float goes ahead, PokerStars would be the fourth Israeli online gaming company to float in London. Previously Empire Online founded by Noam Lanir was floated, 888 founded by the Shaked and Ben-Yitzhak families was also floated as well as Playtech which powers a number of leading online casinos.
