What are you talking about?
Live poker is much looser and softer.
Too many times online I'm just left scratching my head, with the feeling I've been cheated.

If you're after an answer to this question, the About The Forums forum is probably the best place: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/55/about-forums/

The decision to allow posters to post on 2p2 is an issue for 2p2 management, imo.

The fact that almost 40% of people responding think it's rigged should be telling.
I'm sure an even greater percent of people outside of 2+2 think its rigged.

You know, there is a non-zero percentage of Americans who:

1. Doubt we landed on the moon
2. Believe that the world is flat

Unsurprisingly, this doesn't prove or disprove anything, other than the fact that I live amongst idiots.

Could you provide some evidence please? What percent of Americans believe the world is flat and we faked the lunar landing?

Number who answered Yes in a silly poll: 102

Most think this thread is not worthy of consideration at all.

I have started playing on stars, roughly 50k hands.

I have noticed a delay on the turn and river cards when a sick bad beat was about to occur. It is always an all in situation, usually on the flop, but, the delay will happen, and then bang, turn then river instantly fall.

Just curious if this is something others have noticed, tried to search and couldnt find too much.

Poker, rigged, not what I am suggesting.

I just want to know if anyone experiences lag time for turn and river cards. It happens rarely, but when it has, pots have been large and it is abnormal when looking at how the turn and river usually drop.

lol I have noticed this, although it may always be there we just are more intently watching the cards come because it's so important(ie big pot, tourny life, etc). So yes, I've noticed, but again it's probably always this was it just seems like there is a delay because anytime you are in danger or your body reacts to danger(adrenaline) things seem to "slow" down.

This is a natural reaction as you suddenly have the ability to become super focused and the situation slows down so that you may react to it. I think I've seen something along these lines on National Geographic, or the Discovery Channel

Yes I noticed the same thing, long delay on flop/turn, then cards are displayed faster than usual. Sometimes it was a bad card for me, tho people tend to notice and remember more when something very good or bad happens. Maybe keep track of every time it happens. It is likely just a small internet/network delay.

Guy.

yes, I have noticed this highly disturbing delay. Maybe we sould start timing these delays and prove the likely correlation.

so the idea is that the Stars machine is taking a slightly longer time which card to bad beat you with? What is the breaking point for this type of bad beat? Like 30%-outer hitting on the river counts as a bad beat? Or that beat isn't bad enough and thus there wouldn't be as much of a delay with the card coming?

Good stuff. Hilarious.

Do you really think that a computer would need a delay in order to pick out the correct card to give for a bad beat. You moron - what do you think, that it is searching to find out where it has put the card?

Jeez, what are these rigtards going to think up next.

Let me say this again

I am not claiming online is rigged

This has happened and I have not even been in the hand, folded PF, but just watching the others wait for river.

This happened to me tonight, three way all in PF, my friend and my girl were sitting watching, and we were all like WTF, why is it taking so long for the turn and river...then BAM they pop up, usually they are smoothly peeled off. Not even going to say if I won or lost, that isnt the point. It just seemed really odd.

feldz - sometimes internet lag happens. (or sometimes there is lag on Stars' end). Sometimes it might happen when you are all-in and sometimes it might happen when there is a bad beat.

Think about this: If there is similar lag when it's preflop action you aren't even going to notice it. It's just going to look like somebody is taking a little longer to decide or to click the button.

The fact that you didn't seem to consider any other possibilities and are automatically relating it to the bad beat says quite a bit about your thinking process.

And finally....the random number generator that is dealing the cards doesn't give a crap who wins the hand or if it is giving somebody a 2-outer or something. It just deals the cards. Then the software looks and sees who won the damn pot.

Yeah, I've noticed this stuff happening. My internet connection is not so good (I'm usually using the wireless network of my next door neighbours) so I guess this delay could be attributed to a bad internet connection and not to some bad-beat nonsense.

Funny, I actually remember an MTT in which I was short-stacked, and shoved all-in with AT after a flop of T85. I was called by KK. I had to wait for about half a minute before the turn and river fell - it was a Ten on the river, and istantly, the game clock came up because I was already dealt the following hand. I made my first final tablel in that tourney

It happens on Full Tilt every hand.

Infact not just every hand also when I am autoposting the blinds when it decideds to time me out.

It's called lag.

When you are playing playstation online against a mate and it lags just before he scores a header in Fifa do you query if Fifa is rigged against you?

Please post a hot chic and save this thread from doom.

Pokerstars isnt rigged, it is completely legit and I have no concern for the integrity of the game being compromised or my money being taken by a site making money off of rake or having people play as many tourneys a day by busting the short stack to hurry things along. I am not concerned about the intentions of online poker sites, or am I worried that people will get addicted to online poker. I really dont have fear of collusion, or bots or US players being punished. I don't worry about the Zionists that run the company, or the fact that they are above US or UK laws. I trust in capitalism, and know pokerstars will do the morally right thing and keep games free from any rigging.

Also, I dont find it strange that there are crazy bad beats with pf all in hands, or that there are action flops which might make rake increase. I dont worry about the sites luring in fish to keep the games going by giving them miracle rivers or punishing cashouts. I trust pokerstars, I feel they are worthy of respect and they have my business.
