Weirdness is weird, but this case that dude is probably an old Crypto bonus whore/foldbot from 2006 era that once that free money ended had his poker "career" end as well, and he probably reads the boards still once in a while.

If he posted his screen names I would be amazed if I remembered him, but I may have given some of those foldbots a hard time back in the day, so not too shocking to see some still have emotions about it more then half a decade later. Good luck to other shills ever creating that type of reaction!

You had to play in those "games" back in those to truly appreciate them.

If this guy said his user names I might (10% chance at best) remember him, but no doubt he was what about 40% of the players were at that time - non players who folded every hand because the network paid literally 1000%+ rakeback and bonus. Those who use HUDs, their typical stats were 2 0 (VIPI and PFR) or 1 0 , and this was for pot limit omaha and Omaha hi/lo. They would min buy in and fold their way down to 1 BB or if they got AAxx and doubled they would leave the table to avoid losing too much.

Toward the end of the bonus whoring era these tables would have up to 7 or 8 of them waiting for 2-3 real players.

A typical month for me "grinding" those games would be to make a few hundred in game profits, a few hundred in rakeback , about $1,000 in bonus, and $2500-3000 in tournaments by playing the MPP satellites (that guys like the above never figures out was where the real money was).

I would have paid the game winnings I made every week to have a bot play the hands for me as the games in and by themselves were pointless, but to those other guys they were needed for their monthly salary which generally was lose a few hundred by folding and make a few hundred extra in rakeback/bonuses every month.

As a bonus, one had to listen to these non players whine all the time about rigging and such when they were not even playing or learning how to play to make their couple bucks an hour.

As one might suspect, that led to me pointing out their limited vision of the game in a polite manner (which they never liked hearing) and when the free money stopped they became dudes that created 2+2 accounts years ago but rarely post because they could no longer compete without the handouts.

Kind of fun to see them pop out of teh woodwork now and then, brings back memories!

I never post, And i dont know why i bother with ole Montey. Who's $ would be better spent paying for my buyins and then watching and learning.
