Recently I started playing Stars as well, and now I'm probably going to close down my ft account. There is a marked difference in two areas between stars and ft:
1. the number of monster hands, and
2. the number of suckouts

I don't think ft is rigged to benefit certain players, but it does seem suspicious that practically every hand is a monster and that you expect to be sucked out on when you're in front.
Did you read this article then: http://www.fulltiltpokerreport.com/f...andomizer.html? It is quite interesting and might provide some answers. If this is correct about the rng's, Í would choose a shuffle-once-then-deal site any day of the week. Does that mean ft is rigged? Hmmm...

I think it feels rigged because you can play so many more hands online in 1 hr than you can in live.

It seems the fluctuations there are double; not sure why, but one reason is the tougher competition. That site can be datamined and having a rigged site and allow that, I don't know how they could get away from it. It, and Prima, are the most monitored sites.

I read most of the link and it says tilt shuffles cards after every street, while stars only at the start of the deal. It makes no difference; I understand it personally completely, and that was an extra easy one, needing a math uneducated person to think otherwise.

Re: Is Full Tilt rigged?

All sports books rig the odds to get equal money on each side of the bet regardless of whether the line is fair. Too many people betting on the Red Sox: easy, we'll just give the Blue Jays more advantage until more people take that side. I dare you to open the log.1 file in your pokerstars folder, it's scary the stuff that site logs as you play. It doesn't seem unreasonable to me that pokerstars would see people playing 24 tables and making a profit, and give them an occasional extra bad beat to a fish just to keep enough fish around so we don't leave for easier sites. Sure they love the 24 tablers, but they also love expanding their business and the best way to do that is to give the new fish a nice run to start off with. Sign up bonuses, a few lucky cards, is it really that much different than live casinos that offer free rooms, meals, shows, etc.

I don't personally believe it. Like the sites say, there's just not enough motivation for them to essentially risk their entire business just to rig a few cards. They just as soon let luck give the occasional fish a lucky run and he stays.

Of all the sites, stars and FTP would be the least likely to risk it. They dominate the industry. I'd be much more suspicious of smaller sites that might try to lure all new players into staying with a healthy run off the regulars bankrolls.

Obviously Full Tilt is not rigged because the KGC has a rep to protect.

Well, perhaps you should have read more than just most of the link. FT shuffles continuously, not just on every street, and it uses the inputs of players in generating random numbers. Thus, whether you bet or not actually influences which card comes next.
Perhaps you should read more carefully and not insinuate things about people you don't know. I'll compare titles with you any day

So have you cracked the code yet and figured out whether or not you should bet in order to hit your two outers?

Random is random. The influences are irrelevant whatever they are if they have no ability to intentionally manipulate the deck.

Well, that's exactly the point, isn't it. If this article is correct, then the cards falling are influenced by actions of the players, as these are parts of the inputs to the RNG. And in that case I wouldn't call it random anymore. To spell it out; if cards dealt are different if your opponents are loose or tight, that's simply not random.
That FT has a horrid way of generating random numbers obviously doesn't mean it's rigged, unless there is some other logic built in. But that dealt cards are affected by betting patterns is enough to make me sceptical to the entire setup. And again, in my experience there is a huge difference between stars and tilt, whether that's related to the RNG or not.
Shuffle and deal, I say.

It is still random since noone knows what card is coming next.

Your theory would maintain that if I ask you to pick a card randomly from a shuffled deck, the odds you will get a red or black card changes if I cut the deck first. It does not.

You are finding causation when none exists.

Re: Is Full Tilt rigged?

I wouldn't say rigger but the random generators on sites does differ.. ladbrokes poker is terrible every other hand there is a flush or straight out and stars in my opinion ain't much better. Never had a problem with full tilt and u guys will hate this but i have found the best site to be UB in regards most like live play the way the cards fall.

I have found that if I repeatedly click and unclick the "sit out" button and stop the streaming porn feed I almost always hit my two outers.

Conspiracy Theorists,
You need to watch all the parts of this video to understand how one person can get so lucky/unlucky

I have found, through extensive research, that if you flop a flush draw and one person before you bets, if you click call exactly 3.4 seconds later you will hit your flush on the turn.
