That OP would have been so much better if it was just one huge paragraph.

Edit, bah I meant the OP of the huge "Cake poker is rigged against me" manifesto before the merge.

Why it is rigged specifically against him, who knows, maybe another viewing of A Beautiful Mind will shed light on that perspective.

WTF? I've been fishing like 10 times and never caught anything. Fishing's rigged. Must be nice to have a GOLDEN ROD.

You have 16 posts, 10 of which are in this thread, and you talk about other people being obsessed with it? Really?

This is untrue.

No such edit was made.

I suppose when you run a number of gimmick accounts you can afford to tell outright lies because if you are found out you just dispose of the account and start a new one.

BTW, this is a first.

In all the years I've been using internet forums this is the first time that someone has fraudulently included a quote with which they have tampered,

Good job, lying scumbag.

Oh, right.

You should have said before; it would have saved us making idiots of ourselves arguing with tk1133, supperdish et al when they were correct all along.

Hey Markusgc,

You asked me my opinion yesterday as to what s specifically happening in online poker for me to think its rigged.

First I think initial luck when playing on a new site. In other words the site rigs the deck in your favour to get you hooked in.

First Stars last year I initially deposited 200$ and for the first 4 weeks I cashed out 250-400$ per week with a ridiculous 120% ROI for my first 150-200 MTTs and STTs. This was before I played off a bankroll with proper br management.

I then had a break from stars whilst moving house/taking over a business and returned with a 1000$ deposit a few months later. I again experienced what I would consider to be massive luck in my favour. Playing exclusively 50NL 6 max I quickly increased my br to 2500$ in 2 weeks. Then the bad streak comes and I find myself back to 1400$ and take a little break again having experienced ridiculous suckouts for days on end. Losing 70-30s all in on flop/turn far more than I should. Sessions that should be +2-4 buyins are -2-4 buyins. Eventually I grind back to 2500$ ish and claim a 650$ bonus and straight after I claim the bonus its like I cant win ANY hand while Im clearing the required points. My graph looks like I fell off a cliff. No doubt bad play adds to the problem but it doesnt explain why a steady ascent turn into a nose dive off a cliff at the exact moment I claim a bonus.

I move to ongame and experiencea similar initial luck period where for a couple of weeks after signing up and playing 4x50NL 5 max Im winning 45-50$ per hour and go straight from 500 to around $2k. Again I cashout and my br is destroyed again by terrible beats.

From my own experience to summarise this is what I think goes on;

-Initial luck when joining new site.
-Bonus claim/cashout curse. Winners are not good for business and yes they do pay lots of rake but thats useless if there s no fish to take their profit from.
-Fish cash players rewarded at LOWER limits with outs more than they should when they ve made a mistake. Done by sites to increase rake.
-Fish tourney players again at low limits protected from themselves and stupid all in calls they make. Shoving A9 AIPF for example when you ve made it very clear that you have a premium hand. Again to increase income generated from tourney fee s.
-Bots/house players used probably in an unofficial capacity by sites or with knowledge of the sites to increase profitability.

Flame away guys.

No luck with that evidence, eh? You can wave your arms in the air and cry foul like a champ though. Maybe tomorrow you'll present something other than your speculation that flies in the face of any evidence ever amassed in regards to RNG's.

I'd like to see if anyone else has similar data (not vague recollections) or if you're unique in this situation. myself, like lots of newbs, I didn't keep good records at first, so I don't have anything concrete I can share. but since anecdotal evidence seems to be fairly good currency 'round these parts quite often, I'll say on Stars I ran real well off the bat - strictly in tournament play though, but never to this day could say it's been my best site, results-wise. However, their lack of bonuses/rakeback also makes it one of my least visited, so I don't know how reliable my "feelings" are in that regard. I think I did ok on FTP at first in low-stakes cash games (when I was pretty poor at 'em) but not so good in tourneys, so what does that say?

ok, here, I gotta tell ya - and I mean this in the most respectful manner possible - this sounds kinda nuts.

I showed earlier how it would be nearly impossible to rig something in real time (not to mention actually finding the intended "victims" and recipients of the "goldern river effect") and be sure that everyone plays their hands in a manner the site would like them to so the "fish" can get paid. I also think it would be a pretty idea to make their long-time customers unhappy as a company policy for the short-term benefit of keeping a horrible player afloat another hour or so.

this part I'm fairly neutral on, but I'm not sure it falls within the scope of this discussion

Of course its not concrete evidence. I never presented it as such. Markusgc asked me to explain what I believed was happening.

Only someone narrow minded and stupid would base all their opinions on evidence.

I bet your a great laugh on a night out.

Guy:"Hey Kingof Felt I think that girl likes you",
KingofFelt: "Evidence, where s your Evidence and hard accertainable fact that she likes me eh, show me the evidence dammit".
Guy:"Wow I was just giving my opinion dude based on what I saw. Anyway wana check out the local nightclub, Ive heard its awesome."
Kingoffelt:"What you ve only heard its awesome, I want Evidence! Evidence godammit!
Guy:"Wow what a loser".

First of all, LOL at being "narrow minded" and "stupid", for basing my opinions on evidence.

Secondly, for your scenarios. If I figured a girl liked me I would probably try to determine if she actually did by approaching her and talking to her. Then perhaps I would have solid evidence that she did. I take it you just try to stick it in. That's called rape my friend and I wouldn't do it if I were you.

And the club analogy is horrible because you are taking something "objective" such as an RNG being rigged and replacing it with something "subjective" such as a club being good or not. Better luck next time.

Thanks again for a polite/civil reply without needless insults.

Could you remind me again how you showed it would be hard to rig in real time I must have missed/fogotten.

Ive come to my conclusions after years of playing online and seeing unlikely events too often.

I know nothing at all about software programming and little about RNGs so Im never going to be able to explain co herently what goes on.

Also these online gambling sites are often based in the same places that drug dealing and other illegal enterprises operate out of like Costa Rica/Cyprus/Isle of Mann etc. Id be a lot less suspicious if they were properly regulated and based on the mainland in reputable locations. Although the US is obv currently off limits.

Im rambling a bit here I think.

Yes of course we can be friends its good to have a debate evry once in a while. Im not here looking for enemies. Although I dont much like qpw, I find him to be very ignirant and needlessly insulting.

Damn those places where drug dealing and illegal enterprises operate. The USA certainly has none of that stuff going on at all!

What are you blethering on about? Rape for gods sake? Where do you come from? Your a real life David Brent.

I dont have evidence, Likely I wont ever have evidence but I do have my opinion based on long experience.
