So are you saying that the pokersite could find a reason to manipulate the outcomes in the short term to serve their own purposes for the long term? This could be interesting to me.
You could probably weed out a lot of undesirables while developing players who are desirable due to their patterns. Players could be ranked by profitability to the site.
As a for instance. Player A plays 10 tables, plays 50 hours a week and generates x amount of dollars for the site monthly. Lets make sure he or she never goes away. He is going to get on two plus two and tell people that they are crazy for thinking poker is rigged.
Player B plays 30 hours a week, never plays more than a few tables at a time and is generally an ass in the chat. He even complains to support regularly. Lets rank this player much lower, maybe even doomswitch him to a point of forcing him to go somewhere else before he reaches enough hands to get to the long haul.
Now if they creatively rotated this around keeping who they want to keep by boomswitching them, and then doomswitching who they dont want while also keeping everyone else somewhere in between, it doesnt matter how many hands you analyse, the site has covered it ass and can just say "Variance".
I know about all of the questions related to why they would do this and how could they get away with it. If it cant be found in the hand histories, then the only way it is going to get out is if an ex employee is going to leak it. I am not convinced that an ex employee would have the balls to cash a big or medium site in. That may put a big target on the persons back or family members back. You dont mess with someone's money, especially if we are talking about big money. Even if the persons life would not be in danger, they may very well think it is due to the sheer scope of what they would be bringing to light.
