Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere but I have a very simple question.

I am fairly new to poker and completely hooked. I also live in Australia. I have been playing a lot on Pokerstars and doing quite well. While I'm not looking to become a pro or anything like that I was planning on putting in a lot of study time and taking it very seriously and hoping to generate some extra income.

But it looks like the new government will almost certainly close it down soon so my question is this: are there any potential workarounds that might be possible for Australians to play online once the ban is passed?

Is it worth me carrying on trying to learn the game seriously or just accept that it will have to be a hobby?
