Except in seriously extreme cases (I remember one over 5+ years), you can always tell if it's the same person or not. Always.

And you can always get a new picture.

The whole photo-holding-ID thing is pretty odd because afaik no site regularly does that, but imo they all should. Cracking down on all sorts of fraud and cheating (including multiaccounting) will benefit the honest players. Only real issue is that I'm not sure we can trust all the sites with our personal information (and obviously with some sites — coughcereuscough — we can't), but they already have the truly damaging stuff anyway.

Are you really accusing them of stealing your money when you haven't done what they asked in order to unfreeze your account, and they've not said that they are confiscating funds?

Well, I've done this. I am just frustrated that it takes them forever to ask for this information when they could've asked this the first time around.

Are you guys defending them that they are allowed to asked for 2 things, take 7 days to reply and ask me to send in different information. And then have me wait another 7 days to get my account fixed?

Like some have said, this money is practically not ours because they can take it whenever they want, freeze it whenever they want.

Anyway I have sent in all the information and now lets count how many days it takes for them to resolve this.

Just do it. The quicker you get it done the faster you get your account back. IMO, this is very unprofessional of FTP, but seems like more sites are starting to do this.

And as far as my thread title. I feel robbed and I bet you would to. My money is in my FTP account and I have complied with all emails and sent them all in promptly. So if you are not getting a response within a 1-2 weeks, how would you feel? What makes you think they would even return your account?

The whole PMI and other verifications problems show they can easily steal from you and deny it all. There is nothing you can do.

I can't believe players have to take all this **** from other players when there clearly is a problem with the site and not the players. Seems like you're all operating on the "it's not me so *** it" level.

Cheaters are not bothered about id verification. They have all their **** ready to send before they even make a new account.

The only people who are affected are honest players, who are being forced to wait 3 weeks or more because these ****ing idiots cannot look at 2 or 3 pictures that you send them. Then they have to take even more **** from fellow players who accuse them of cheating or call them ******ed when they are clearly pissed off for a good reason.

No. Read this forum, the amount of cheating ******s who post here is pretty high. This recent mass of posters complaining about being temp-suspended has merely made it appear that there's more honest people. Over the last 6 months I'd think there's been more people who broke the rules complaining than people who have actual cases. Cynicism is the natural mood of people when you have to often read a 2 line OP saying 'omg FT/Stars did this etc' then you see the emails and figure out that they are lying. It is these idiots that make it harder for people to get believed straight off here.

Also most people here are suspicious of brand new accounts that seem to post like 12 year-olds. Someone as dumb as Nickybro27 for example is hard to take seriously.

The thing is this is all standard with them. It's not good that they do this, but if you did some research on here you'd know that's how they operate. Then you could have been proactive about it. I initiated my security check myself and provided them info on my own. Doing it that way my account was never locked and I was able to withdraw when I wanted.

It is annoying the way they do things, but you're over reacting. They have a long history of doing this and not taking any money from players accounts. Your money is safe it's just going to take time for you to get to it. Patience is a virtue.

I sure hope so. The delay in customer service is what is tilting me bad. Its just unacceptable, it makes you feel useless. If you are the casual player and don't visit 2+2, you will really feel fukked. They can really take all the time in the world to answer you and you can't do nothing about it.

Assuming you haven't done anything shady you'll be able to do that in a while. Heck you'll probably get to do that even if you have done something shady. It seems like it takes a big offense for FTP to actually confiscate funds.

My account had $10K in it when it was locked pending verification. And right now it has been almost a month since being locked. And now with this US problem, I fear that I will never see my money again.

I've sent emails to support, loginsupport, cashier, security, @fulltiltpoker.co.uk.

I have generally sent a email message once every week as I feel that they are either not reading the emails or just missing them as one week is more than enough time to respond. This has been my first attempt to contact them after the DOJ problems.

I wanted to know if anyone has had any success with verification and having their US accounts unfrozen.

After a month, they finally answered me. And this is the most bogus answer I've ever heard.

Now my deposits that were not taken from my bank account was $1500. However, I have ~$10k in the account. That is more than enough to cover the deposit. Yet they won't remove my restriction.

EDIT: This was all after the fact they requested me to provide all documentation and ID AND the ridiculous request that I take a picture of myself holding my ID.
