I ordered a camera, camcorder, bathrobe, and slippers a week ago. Are they going to get the new Ipods? All their crap is old.

i got the JVC headphones a while back, a bit bulky and uncomfortable to wear over long stretches, but pretty good at the sound aspects

I would like the plasma TV, but not sure I have the patience to wait 13 years before i have enough points

that's the thing about those headphones i want. i just started a new FTP account, and i only have like 4,500 points in it.
i don't have any $$$ on UB, but i do have like 17k points and enjoy playing the points games because they're actually quite profitable.
thing is that there's nothing really decent in the ~10k points area in the FTP store and don't feel like playing until i have 120k for something.

anything in mind?

it's not 1080i

1080 doesn't matter nearly as much as you think. The extra resolution is really meaningful if you're sitting somewhat close to a big screen. Overall there will be a small increase in picture quality with 1080 material, but a somewhat larger decrease in picture quality for lower resolution material (720 & SD).

Attributes like color reproduction, contrast ratio, black level and video processing quality matter far more than actual resolution. The 720p Panasonics plasmas are pretty solid in these areas, and will outperform most other flat screens on the market, including the 1080 ones.

Also, like pretty much all 720p HDTVs made in the last few years, it does accept a 1080i signal (and downscales it). Early HDTVs were sometimes only accepted one or the other, but that's not the case today.

Google the model number and check out the reviews on amazon or whatever.

I actually looked at it yesterday. Reviews looked pretty solid. Specs looked good but it comes with onboard graphics instead of a vid card which I don't like.

Anyone have the 38.5k Sony camera? Doubt it as it's EU-only and has only been about for a few weeks, but I'm looking at it in the new year when I can cash in the 25k ironman bonus

Can anyone comment on the FT store EU only situation? Are they shipped from within the EU and therefore you don't have to pay extra taxes on it?

The chips are crap, would not recommend them. Very plasticky, case is very cheap. Had to send back the first set because whoever the manufacturer is busted up the inside of the case. Second set came all sticky from the glue they use to adhere the FTP sticker to each chip.

Yeah, same with mine jschell. Pretty ridiculous.

Also, I had another question, what would be my best option to get in the FTP store (I'm selling it on eBay probably)? I have 120k FTP points and so far it's looking like the iPod Touch would net me the most money from what I've seen, but is there better value in getting a bunch of smaller items?

I blow my points on everything since I dont play at FT too often, my wife however, has been saving for a Big Baller 50in TV that just increased to over half a million FT points and now shes pissy about it.

It looks like the new Garmin GPS is the way to go.. it is selling for around $625 on amazon and is 91k points. I think that's what I'm gonna go with.
