got an ipod touch 16GB about 3 weeks ago:

shipping very fast. I got it w/ in several days (maybe 3-5) of placing the order. I live in cali (maybe they have a distribution center here or something).

Arrival: perfect condition

use/function: it did not have the upades that the new ones come with I think (several apps like weather, etc...) this is not a big deal. Also, it maybe that I am under the illusion that these come free, and they might actuallly cost like 14.999 for a pakage. Mine arrived w/ the basic stop watch, contact info, calculater, etc...

eitherway, its not a big deal b/c:

the apps are kind of useless, and you can jailbreak your ipod to install a ton of user generated apps.

works 100% well so far, as if it came right off the Apple tree itself.
couldn't be more satisfied.

came with original packaging and no Full Tilt engraving or anything.

10/10 is my score.

This is kind of a basic question, but can someone let me know what you play the videos you record on a mini dv player on? A dvd player? Upload them to a computer and burn dvds?

john voight: Those apps should be included in firmware upgrades.

I wouldn't expect it would come with the new firmware. That even costs extra on amazon. There's a new update coming out July 11 (not free again ofc), but I'm just gonna jailbreak it if I get a touch.

No way it should cost more. It doesn't cost anything extra to update my 5G iPod to the latest version.

ordered a 32gb ipod touch three weeks ago, still not shipped. They said it is out of stock and should be in soon (which is what they said 3 weeks ago). Last 4 cashouts took a month to get, dont know why i expected any better when ordering from the store. What a bunch of scumbags!

OT, but apple is going to be charging 10 or 20 usd for the 2.0 update. The last update they did in jan i think was around that price too.

If you go to amazon you can see the 16gb touch has two different prices. One with the updated firmware and one with the old firmware. Iphone users get the update for free. FYI, the updated one on amazon will still need the 2.0 update when it comes out.

Oh and I think it's only for the touch and iphone. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, I never even owned an ipod.

On 6/3 they emailed me and asked for shipping info.

this is a pretty bad camcorder (for anyone that desires rly nice quality and functionality, this is terrible). but not bad if u just need a camcorder to mess around with...

the miniDV can be uploaded to ur computer using FireWire (comes included with the camera).

Yeah. I can post links and stuff to the different updates and the cost, and a summary of the things you can do with the two different updates but I'm far too lazy. =)

Yep, upload and burn dvds afaik. You can also hook it up direct to a TV and play it but that's kinda silly imo. I have a dvd player that plays unauthored mpg/divx whatever else so it will be super easy.

UPS did come Friday but somehow I missed him even though I was here Supposedly they will try to deliver again today (sig required) so I'm going to keep my door open all day to make sure he knows I'm here. That totally sucked Friday, I had a crappy session but I had this to look forward to, then I go out and there's a lil piece of paper that says he came by and didn't drop it off, ugh. /emo

fwiw I ordered the 32 GB touch as soon as it went in the store, which I think was like the end of March or so (it seems to be on my April 11th RB payment). It shipped almost right away and I had it in less than a week.

Thanks slim. I guess that's pretty fast. The 32gb touch came out around early feb I think. FTP seems to be backordered on the 32gb ones now so I guess I'll just hold out until the new ones come out and hopefully be able to get one before 2009, lol.

Yea, I think I am going to just go with the 114K one. I dont really like the stained oak on my table as I just like the rail and the felt. Hope you enjoy the 245K one though!

Got the Handycam yesterday, all in one piece. It doesn't come with a MiniDV tape, so make sure to buy some or order some ahead of the camcorder's arrival if you want to be able to try it out the same day. They are rewritable, but the tape's quality will diminish the more it is used. No FTP marks/stickers/whatever of any kind, manufacturer sealed from Sony.

i ordered the samsung 204 bw about 2 weeks ago. Got a shipping thing pretty quick and when it got here it was a viewsonic VG2030wm, also a 20 inch ws. So its ok. Must be updated or something cuz there is no more 204bw in the store
