I am having extreme difficulty in getting FTP to respond to my request to refund the money I paid for the balance of play chips that they have in my account and then closed the account.

I tried repurchasing chips when they were running a sale and my cc company denied purchase until they emailed me for confirmation of a valid purchase by card holder (me).

Full Tilt immediately denied me access to the chips in my account that were previously purchased and paid for.

When I complained, they required me to post several (5) types of identification, including me holding my driver's license, passport photo, etc.

I objected to this and was told my account would be locked until I provided that information. I told them MasterCard said the purchase was valid and could proceed but by then I said the hell with it because of their bellicose and tyrannical behavior. I wanted to just play the remainder of my chips (30 million and change). They refused me access to chips already paid for months prior.

I wrote them asking for an address I could send a formal request for at least a refund of my remaining chips which they had frozen. They responded with an email saying since I have threatened legal action, my account is now closed and their decision is final. So basically they aren't going to refund my $60.00 bucks worth of chips they confiscated.

When I ask for a U.S. address so that I may file a formal request, they give me an Isle Of Man address. I told them since they are conducting fiduciary activities in the U.S. (taking monies for play chips), they are legally incumbent to have a U.S. designated agent so that they can be contacted for any legal problems.

No response.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

$60 for play money are you mad.

Put that $60 down as a lesson to not waste money on play chips.

Seriously but, if your not willing to send in the right documents, which many people have to do, then how can you expect them to co-operate?

Only option here is to send the documents or forget about the money. Threatening with legal will get you nowhere. And are you really gonna seek legal action over $60 and spew away more money, all over some play chips??

Yeah, it's 60 bucks they're not entitled to. Why should I walk and let them confiscate my money for no good reason?

How comfortable are you holding up your passport and a closeup of your face so that they can allow you to play with already purchased chips because your cc company wanted verification before approving purchase of more chips? They gave the authorization but I refused to buy any more because of their actions.

Anyway, thanks for the 'its a good lesson' advice, but I was looking for info on U.S. mailing address for their corporation so that I can recover the money I paid to the credit card they were purchased from.

I've had to send in copies of my card used to deposit, copy of my passport, utility bill, and also take documents to a solicitor to get notarised, which of course I had to pay. But as it's in the T&C's I done it and didn't just threaten with legal action.
Needles to say all documents were accepted and my cash out processed. And I have never had to do it again.

Anyway GL

I didn't have to send them utility bills, pics of me holding my passport, driver's license pics and close-ups of me holding my credit card in order to purchase the chips.

All this brouhaha occurred because of a run-of-the-mill possible fraud alert from my cc company that I guarantee FTP has to deal with for darn near every purchase. I understand if they want all that to purchase additional chips. However for them to deny me access to the chips purchased from them many months ago is totally unreasonable, imo. They can close my account, which they did when I asked for their corporate address in the states, but I am not going to allow them to just confiscate my property (paid for chips) without a fight.
