You can only qualify from a sit-n-learn once. I have already used up about 8 of them without playing. With the qualifying tournaments removed there is no longer a reason to do more than one quiz in a month, so I have about a year's worth of quizzes left to do. Hopefully I they get this fixed and I can play in one before I run out.

I accepted a challenege to earn those points, I feel like I completed the tasks but they havent been updated. Are they updated right away or is there a day or two wait period?

Your "My Academy" page should show your current progress. It will also show when the challenges were last updated, which can vary a lot. Sometimes the last update time shown will be as little as 10-15 minutes ago. Other times the delay before updating can be 12 hours or more. When I checked this morning before work, the last update was yesterday afternoon.

I think this time is when they process all the hand-specific tasks. Some tasks will update much sooner, e.g. playing in or winning a SNG, that can be credited without looking at all the individual hands you played.

Yeah, Sundays are a huge delay, and since it's Mini-FTOPS time, the delays are even worse. Their about 24 hours behind right now. Maybe a bit more.

Hey, does anyone know how to check how many times you've completed a challenge? I've emailed support three times and each time they gave me a different answer, all of which were unhelpful.

Worst case scenario I'll just do each challenge until my points plateau, then I'll begin tracking challenges myself on a spreadsheet.

That's what I did. No other way to know. Just pick what you've done and keep doing it till you can't do it anymore, and there's your 10x's.

Alright, thanks man. Seems like a pretty fundamental feature, hopefully they'll include in an update.

we are the 15th dec and i got this message on MY academy:

Challenges were last updated on: Dec 13, 2009 7:19 PM EST .

this is a bit boring.

Yeah, I just "completed" a challenge, but since they're two days behind already, I guess I know what I want for Christmas.

The updates are coming pretty fast now. They went from 4am 12/14 to almost 11am 12/14 in about 30 minutes. Running Sundays hands through must've blown up their system.

Looks like the system is all caught up for this weekend. It's updated up till about an hour ago.

About freaking time.

They say it's up to date, but I didn't get credit for completing my last challenge. I'd e-mail them, but then I'd have to wait a week for a reply. Easier just to do it again.

It got all mine. And it's been getting them all day today in spite of the time it says. Definately digging that aspect. Really don't want to go through another 2 days between updates

If you're going to offer a tourney you have to qualify for, even if it's just taking a sit-and-learn test, then have one.
Whatever happened with this? Just no tourney this month?

The tourney is on Sunday the 20th at 15:00. There are about 2600 signups right now.

I'm grunging here aside from the OP's posts on the first page:

For a 50NL/100NL winning player, is this Academy thing worth my time? From what I gathered the MAX amount of points you can earn is 22,600, which is the equivalent of about $100? If this is true, I won't waste my time. Am I missing something?

You can get more than 22,600 points now as there are more challenges. I'm pretty sure you could get more than $100 value out of it

It's worth it. I've got 48k right now and I'd say a decent amount are from challenges from cash games. You don't really have to do much to complete those either. Just play like normal and take those few opportunities for certain tasks when it presents itself. Most cash game challenges are based on single hands. Like a c/r semi-bluff with a flush draw or open raising or folding XX hand. A $26 token is only 5k points, so you might as well try it out. It's not like you HAVE to do the tasks, but if you're able to knock a few out and get some points, why not?

Can I just opt into every task at once, or can it only be done one at a time, etc.? I don't feel like having ANOTHER thing I have to constantly monitor and be on top of.

1 at a time. It's very little effort with the cash game challenges. It's not the same at all in SnG or Tourney challenges though.

What I did when I started was opt into Ferguson's preflop challenge and then played my normal game. I 5 table, so it was fast as hell. Did it the full 10x's pretty quick. I made the necessary adjustments when I got a specific hand and had to make a specific opening raise, but other then that, I played how I usually do. Same with a couple of other challenges until I went apesh*t and decided to do every challenge 10x's. If your sessions last 2 hours, just play, then check the page after your sessions and see what you've done. If there's only 1 or 2 tasks left, open a couple of tables and finish if off. Select to "Repeat Challenge" and do it again next session. I wouldn't adjust my play very much at all for these at all if I played higher. But I'd still quite a few challenges done just playing.

Actually, the challenges have been updating pretty quickly, even though the challenge page says it wasn't updated since Dec 22. I have completed several challenges since then, and would guess most are only delayed 15-20 minutes.
