There is 1 more change I'd like to see happen. The ability to change challenges while in the same tourney. For instance (and really the main reason) you're doing the Hansen challenge and make the final table. I'd like to be able to switch to Lindgren's Final Table challenge. It's a minor change, but it would be nice.

I understand if it can't happen though. Doing Froelich's pro-play to build up 3x's the stack, then switch to Caby's to do the 2x's would be too tempting.

If it could be done with just tourneys, I think that would be perfectly fine and not nearly as exploitable.

I agree wholeheartedly with the need for more games. I understand there are constraints, but I think ironing them out quickly should be a priority. I'm sure the regulars in non-hold em games agree.

I can't understand how there isn't a counter for how many times I've done each challenge. There should also be a counter for each counting type challenge (How many more hands do I have to not open limp? What do I need to grow my bankroll to?) I admittedly don't know the details, but this seems like it should be easy.

I don't care too much about which pros give lessons, but Ivey, Durrrrrr, and Antonius seem like the obvious choices.

There really should be a reward for doing a challenge more than 10 times. How about decreasing returns, where every time after ten completions, the total points given away decrease by 5%? That way we continue to have something to strive to complete without requiring FT to give too much away. Or maybe some reward for finishing a large number of times (100?). I don't know, you guys are the ideas people, but I bet it would increase play if people could keep getting something back for learning their game of choice.

I think the challenges are an appropriate difficulty, although I do find it strange that the best way to get the Pro Play for bankroll management is to use horrible bankroll management. Anybody who actually practices good bankroll management would take a long time to achieve this.

idk if this has been said yet but,

5000 fulltilt poker academy credits = 5000 fulltilt points
25000 " " = 25000 " "
100000 " " = 100000 " "

there is no reason to save up for the 25000 or 100000 fulltilt points unless you offer it at a discount. the same can be said for the cash bonuses.

$100 = 20000 credits
$300 = 60000 credits
there is no incentive to save for the $300 bonus.

also the
$26 token = 5000 credits
$75 token = 15000 credits
you get ripped off buy $3 if you buy the $75 token

Noticed this yesterday too. A discount on higher prices would incite me to save up my points.

So, if you're interested, please post here with your feedback, thoughts and opinions in the following areas:

1. Challenges are a big part of the experience we offer at the Full Tilt Academy. What improvements would you like to see to the challenges?

2. Do you find the Academy Challenges to be too easy or too difficult?

3. If you could pick 3 pros from the Full Tilt roster to hear more from, who would it be?

4. What topics should the Academy cover in the future? What areas of poker education do you feel the Academy is lacking in?

5. What are your thoughts on the Academy website? Do you find it easy to get to the content you want? If not, how do you think it could be improved?

Thanks!
1. They are great, but i would like to be able to play more than one challenge at a time.

2. Easy... but the one where you need to boost your bankroll 25% for only 200 points is just to much.

3. -

4. Stud, LO8 etc.

5. Its great as long as you keep adding challenges.

I qualified for a few, but never saw them in the tournament lobby, either to register or as completed. I did see completed ones from October, so I know they should show up.

Last month is the first time I tried these, so I don't know exactly how it's supposed to work, but it would be nice to have some kind of acknowledgement. Something like an email saying "Congratulations on placing in the top 1000 in Chris Ferguson's PreFlop Play Sit'n'Learn for October, be sure to sign up for the freeroll at 3:30 pm EST on Nov 17th". If I should have gotten something like this I never saw it. When I saw the completed freerolls from October in the lobby, it looked like they had only about 150 entrants, so perhaps a lot of other players also didn't know how to find the tournaments to sign up.

Hi Guppy. I had the same question and e-mailed FTP support to find out what happened to the freerolls in October. It looks like they got rid of the satellites and only have the main freeroll now. See e-mail below.

Thank you for contacting Full Tilt Poker Support. There will be no more Sit and Learn qualifiers for particular Sit and Learns and all of the eligible players will play one tournament. $5000 FTPA Sit and Learn Freeroll is always held on the second Sunday of each month.

If you missed the tournament this month, please contact us after 1st of December and we will manually register you for that freeroll. If there's anything else we can help you with, please let us know. We're always here to help.

Dear sir/madam,

Usually the academy freeroll chalanges run on the 2nd Saturday of the month. I don't see them listed this month. I also don't see them in the completed tournaments, if I somehow missed it earlier this month. Can you please let me know when the status? Thank you.

1. Having the ability to keep a couple challenges actives instead of only one would me much better. It could allow to keep one that is close to be stuck with only one rare task to achieve along with a challenge just starting.

2. In general they are too difficult due to rares occurences (like do X while Y did Z etc). Not even speaking about advices that are just plain bad ("while playing out of position, tell everyone that you have aces and make it cost just a minraise to crack'em") or impossible challenges (Ferguson's bankroll grow can't be achieved by bankroll nits despite managing it properly).

3. PA, Brandon Adams and Allen Cunningham if talking about academy pros. Haseeb Qureshi, Phil Ivey and Durrrr if any FTPro.

4. PLO tournaments endgame, more PLO8, more Stud games.

5. I have no troubles to navigate for what I am doing on it (mostly change active challenge and rarely watch some videos).

Well they certainly did a great job of publicizing their sit-n-learn freeroll, since they had only 409 participants out of 21000 possible qualifiers (admittedly there are probably a lot of duplicates, but still well over 1000). 90th place got $20. Not bad for a freeroll.

On second thought, don't tell anyone about them.

I just looked at the Sit-n-Learn pages, and I can't see any mention of when the freeroll is supposed to happen, so I have no idea how they expect new players checking out the academy to find it.

Yes, the Academy hasn't been promoted/marketed very well IMO. You have to do a lot of digging to find out about freerolls and such. It's worth the effort, but not enough people know that yet.

Another thing: The challenges do no update quickly enough. I completed one task about 45 minutes ago and I'm still waiting to repeat it. I could be on my third attempt by now, but I'm watching football.

The system has updated twice since I finished, but I haven't yet gotten credit for the challenge goal. This is farily common. Can take three or four updates before they kick in. Sometimes they never kick in. And I'm talking about obvious ones, like playing a non-turbo SNG, which I did but haven't gotten credit for.

Also, the option to repeat a challenge often takes a while to show up even though it shows you've completed the current challenge.

Sundays are usually really slow. I'm not sure how the system updates either. The ones involving tourneys are supposed to update within 2 hours after the tourney ends, but some tasks update within 20 minutes, long before you've busted and the tourney has ended and others take forever. I just finished my 8th run through Gus Hansen's challenge and the pro-play took till the next day to get credited. First time that's happened and it happened for each of the 5 cashes. It's usually not long after it ends before I'm credited.

The Pro Play - Increase your Full Tilt Poker bankroll by 25%. It is possible to rat-hold cash and then re-start this challenge. Because of the fine-print, you can place cash on tables or into tournament entries and THEN make this your active challenge. You can also reset the challenge at any time, meaning if you're losing...reset the challenge and start your 25% again from your lower bankroll number.

Im sorry but does this still work?
Iv tried holding money in tourneys and cash tables and then re-do the challenge, i also wait it to load the challenge on site and lobby then take my money out, but it doesnt work.

What am i doing wrong?

Im a low staker but my BR is growing on me and this is getting hard for me.

If I'm able to increase my BR by 25 percent and repeat the challenge 10 times I'll be able to quit poker and retire.

i agree the bank roll pro challenge is to hard for most with decent size rolls.i suggest adding a few things to the store like 25 k points for 100 t dollars or something along those lines.

For the bankroll challenge, create withdrawal down to little to nothing left in roll, increase by 25%, cancel withdrawal after being creditted for task. Why wouldn't this work ???

I definitely want to jump into Academy stuff, but I'm concentrating strictly on Limit HE for the next month or so. What challenges can I complete (or complete a good chunk of) while sticking to Limit?

Thanks a bunch!

None that are full LHE challenges, but there is at least one task that involves LHE. Gordon's Game Selection. Really boring challenge though. There might be another, but I'm not sure. If so, then it's probably an SnG related challenge that only involves you winning one but doesn't specify that the game is NLHE.

You have to play 5 SnGs and 1 MTT as part of Bankroll Management, but the rest can be done at LHE. (And you don't have to win them or anything, just play.)

The bankroll challenge says that if you redeposit, your bankroll will be reset to the amount at the time you redeposit. Does bonus money count as a deposit? I was working on the bankroll challenge and hit 25%, but part of that was $10 from the holiday bonus. Did I screw myself up with the bonus instead of making the challenge easier?

I'm not sure about that. That pro-play seems to be kind of buggy.

I finally did it, but it didn't credit. I'm not going to bother trying to email support about it though. I'm not sure how they calculate it, but I withdrew $600, so I had $55 left and had 7 $26 tokens and about $30 in TD's. When I did completed it, I had $160, 4 tokens and $30 TD's. Depending on how they count that, I might have it and I might not. This is the only challenge I haven't done at least once. I'm getting really sick of seeing Ferguson's little icon on my Academy page.

wtf happened to the monthly academy freeroll. I don't think it even got played last month, and this month there aren't any satellites yet a couple of people are registered?

I asked that earlier in this thread. Apparently they no longer have the satellites, you just register for the main (only) freeroll. There is a "register here" link in the lobby which is broken for me. I guess it must have worked for a few people.

I don't even see it listed in the tourney sked anymore. Looks like they deleted it.

If you're going to offer a tourney you have to qualify for, even if it's just taking a sit-and-learn test, then have one.
