The future of FTP really depends on the outcome of the hearing ~1month from now ...
You know what happens when a company goes down the drain? Employees/Owners start taking what they can and run. What do you think makes them stop NOW to just run off with your money? They are fked anyways - a couple of charges for embezzlement wont make it much worse.

I'm not getting into the laws and legalities but the warnings have been sounding loud and clear for months. This isn't some overnight thing. No one should have any money on there what they weren't happy to lose.

Not everyone spends more time on 2p2 then playing poker. Most of the players probably didn't know what is happening or will happen anyway.
06-29-2011 , 08:26 AM
Which sites are currently safe to play on then? Is PKR ok?

And what about these huge Pop-Ups that notified you about the situation in the US, when you entered the client? The sudden non-existence of US - players? Totally irregular cashouts?

Even the most ignorant guy on this planet realized at some point that something fishy was going on.

There was a thread about this yesterday, it depends how much money you have there.

mark my words - next to fall will be pokerstars - it might take a year or more but it will never be the same again.

The AGCC is forbidding them from allowing withdrawals until July 26. So no, you can't sue FTP until the situation clears up.

Fair enough. Which sites would people recommend then? (I generally like to play single table tournaments with a $5-$15 buy in).

888?
06-29-2011 , 08:35 AM
even if they come back, everyone should be shot down who still wants to play at FTP after all this mess

But so or so they deserve it, stopped playing there 3 years ago ...sry for all guys who locked up there $/€/£ ... but as you can see they didnt care about US players why they shld care about europeans.. likely they will say, we are bankrupt...bye bye

yes, but if you can't cash out in your country it doesn't matter. now if you lived in UK and still chose to have a lot of money on fulltilt then it's your fault
06-29-2011 , 08:38 AM
Just a micro stakes player from UK here, looks like I am losing $250. I only kept on FT because of such a low br, and don't care about the $ just not able to play. I never liked stars software, but may have to deposit and get used to it. fug it I am going to read a book instead.
06-29-2011 , 08:39 AM
I knew the problem with the US .

but im in the Uk and they said business as usual. I feel sick right now like everyone. Maybe its my own fault but i withdrew all chips from other sites and whacked it all on FTP when Rush was released.

This is so Sick, Its time for me to hit the Bottle bigtime.

bye guys

U have been seeing how bad FTP is, how they screwed US players and how they didnt mind keeping our money and not even talk to us, what did u do about it? U stayed there, had ur money in there!! THIS is why u r affected, not because u r in the UK, because u SIR cant see the facts clearly, i call it the price of stupidity!!!!!
