So another question here, what happens to being at the final table of a tournament as everything was paused, do we get any of the winnings from that respective tournament at all? I was 2nd chip stack and was hoping to get 1st/2nd out of 5 left, that was pretty much going to be all my money to withdraw...

True. But as far as I know, it wasn't that the money wasn't there, but that FTP had the money with the players in the same account(s) as their company finances money, so all the money was frozen together by the US DOJ. Am I correct in that?

Not all is lost. Despite everything we've heard, I still trust Full Tilt's owners to make their players whole. They can always register a license in another jurisdiction, for example.

Whatever happens, it will likely take a while.
Their cash flow has just been cut off. They can't maintain their business while they wait and try to move to a new jurisdiction.

The best hope is that this suspension of their license will be provisionally lifted following an emergency hearing or something of that nature.

Updated information from AGCC: http://www.gamblingcontrol.org/userf...n%20290611.pdf

Interesting tidbits:

"(...) cease to exercise their eGambling licenses, which means that these licensees must from today
cease to:-

* Register new customers;
* Accept deposits from existing customers;
* Allow existing customers to withdraw funds that are held in their accounts; and
* Permit customers to participate in any form of poker game play or gambling
transaction. (...)"

And

"The Alderney Gambling Control Commission will hear the matters contained in the Hearing
Notices at a Regulatory Hearing which will commence at 10.00am on Tuesday 26th July (...)"

If everything works out I guess they would just chop it ICM wise and give you your share of money.. But i'm just guessing ...

The DOJ can't seize foreign bank accounts at will. They let Stars do what they needed to pay back US players. I'm not sure why they would block FTP from doing so. Also why would Ivey launch his protest if he felt FTP was doing everything it could?

They are not allowed to process any cashouts - everything must be frozen until after the hearing on July 26th.
06-29-2011 , 07:25 AM
Black Swan, who had thought this would happen 1 year ago.

This will affect the whole online pokerindustry. People will push the cashout button of other rooms also.

Last update was at 3:23 am, so it hasn't updated, it probably encounters a problem when trying to update and finds nothing there, so just keeps the last available stats.
