Someone should call this hotel and find out how much these go for. It's just another drop in the pan in the big scheme, but irritates me nonetheless that the regulator and FTP seemingly have money and and lifestyle's don't change much, yet the players have squat.

TY Funnymunny. There is actually a 2p2'er inside right now and trying to get in the meeting. Here's prices for the catering he snapped with his phone/camara. He said the rooms are 300 Euro a room each, and not including their overnight stay's in the hotel etc. Anyway, just shows a tiny tiny glimpse of how they are continuing to live. Oaked or not oaked, I can't even afford Earnest and Gallo

I like this site (and its RSS Feed), seems to report quickly and accurately from what I can tell.

The US Department of Justice has amended its Black Friday civil complain to include discussion of alleged “Full Tilt Poker’s and the FTP insider defendants’ theft of player funds.” The new complaint adds three new defendants, Howard Lederer, Chris Ferguson, and Rafe Furst. It also alleges that these new defendents together with Ray Bitar committed money laundering, and asks for penalties ranging from $12M for Furst to $42M for Lederer.

Full Tilt Poker Conditionally Sold to Convicted French Tycoon Bernard Tapie

By Josh Thomas, Rakeback.com

Full Tilt PokerIn another crazy twist for Full Tilt Poker (FTP) and just 24 hours after the Alderney Gaming Control Commission (AGCC) decided to keep FTP's gaming license suspended indefinitely, the company have signed an aquisition agreement with Groupe Bernarde Tapie.

Whilst this should be good news for the future of Full Tilt Poker and their players, it should also be noted that Bernard Tapie has had more than his fair share of scandal too. He spent 7 months (of a 2 year sentence) in jail after being convicted of match fixing whilst chairman of French Ligue 1 soccer side Olympique Marseille. He was also convicted in the French courts for Tax Fraud, and was sued by his banker for repayment of a $240 million loan.

Despite these issues Groupe BernardTapie have a very good record of saving companies from the brink of bankrupcy, most noteably turning around the fortunes of sportswear giant Adidas back in the early 1990s.

Before players with money stuck on FTP get too enthusiatic, be aware that there are several conditions that must be met prior to any potential sale - the main one being “an agreeable resolution” with the Department of Justice.

The full statement released today reads:

"Full Tilt Poker and Groupe Bernard Tapie Sign Acquisition Agreement

Dublin, Ireland (September 30, 2011) Laurent Tapie, Managing Director of ‘Groupe Bernard Tapie’ announced today that the group has signed an exclusive agreement with the Board of Directors of Full Tilt Poker to acquire the company and all of its associated assets.

This agreement, which includes the repayment of Full Tilt Poker’s world-wide players in full, is subject to several conditions; the first of which is a favorable resolution with the United States Department of Justice. Discussions with the United States Department of Justice will begin immediately.

‘Groupe Bernard Tapie’ has over 30 years of experience in the salvation of financially distressed businesses, with over 40 companies acquired and managed to profitability, the most well-known being the sport equipment giant, Adidas."
