i noticed there are a lot of posts lately about ft catching cheaters at various games.

i play only 7 card stud hi games and got reimbursed today from them.

i wonder if they are cracking down on cheating more now since we are seeing so many of these types of threads.

i would like to add that i play mostly 2/4 3/6 & 5/10 limits.

i talked to cyndy violette who plays the same games & she got back 200$ +.

This must be what mine was from. I just got over a $100. I got less then this a couple weeks ago but that was probably from other games (I play everything) and considering I've played a lot of stud in the past and the size of this refund and your post here, that tells me where this came from.


To give you guys an idea, I've played about 100k hands in stud hi from 1/2 to 15/30. I stopped playing stud about a month ago though, because I'm in a partnership for mtt's/sng's.

Breakdown

15/30 about 3k hands
10/20 about 3k hands
8/16 about 5k hands
5/10 about 10k hands
3/6 about 25k hands
2/4 about 30k hands
1/2 about 20k hands

Dates: 9/1/09 to 9/25/10

Although I don't use software or anything, I can't recall a time where I thought I was cheated or playing a bot on ftp. Stars is another story but anyway this makes me think that it was not that widespread in the stud games, because $100 is not that much and 100k hands is a lot for stud.

Although you can't really base the amount of cheating based on the amount of refund, because it seems they only distribute what was confiscated.

My initial guess is this was hole card sharing, but I can't base that on anything besides knowing how damaging hole card sharing can be in stud and not noticing any obvious bots.

If anyone can figure out who was involved, please let me know. I'd also be willing to help compare some stuff if needed.

And he doesn't play below 3/6 so this looks like it was probably in the 5/10+ games. Sick, guess it's good that I didn't have the roll to consistently play 10/20 to 15/30

no, she plays 3/6 as well. its hard to say because i also played 8/16 & 10/20 on occasion.

I felt there was cheating and collusion in the PokerStars $30/$60 Stud and Stud H/L games, I never got anything though.

Right, I said she doesn't play anything below 3/6, from what I've noticed anyway.

You might want to ask Ala Boston if you seem him as well, he rarely plays above 2/4 so it could help us narrow this.
