for zero incoming wire fees, try s0vrgn student chkng acc. if the manager is nice you don't even have to be a student, just ask and you might receive, or try another branch Instant check deposits work like a charm too.

Just remember when dealing with the bank: Lots of people have in their minds that they're some government institution that is required to deal with you. They're a business. They can whack you with fees or do whatever they want and if you don't like it then they can just shut your account for whatever reasons they choose.

So if you go in and they are suspicious of something and ask you questions, and you give them a "screw you it's ecommerce and that's all you need to know" kind of attitude, they're likely to say ok well we're going to close your account because that answer doesn't satisfy us.

My wife was a manager at a bank for 5 years and she was always blown away by the amount of people that thought they had a god given right to bank at her bank. I don't suggest being one of those kinds of people.

$48 in fees seems kinda high for $300 cashout.

The fees are the same regardless of cashout amount. A $20K wire has the same $50 in fees as a $100 one would.

Do premium bank wires have a hit on rakeback? I didn't get any fees taken out from my wire from intermediaries, just the normal wire fee from my bank. My rakeback payment was supposed to be $35 but I just got transferred $1.99.

Mine was short $67.50 (rakeback) today and I found out it was because the rush week bonus I earned hit MGR. I'm with rakebackpro's and they didn't update it on the stats but I emailed them, they responded very quickly, and this was why I was short.

Could be in your case too if you earned anything from rush week.

For anyone who has experience withdrawing on Full Tilt and Stars.

What is the best withdrawing option on FT for US poker players? I'm in AZ if it makes a difference.

I've read about 50 posts, and it just seems like everyone is getting hit with $50 in fees on any transaction... If this is the case, I plan on just pulling everything in one swoop if Stars has a better cash out deal. Can anyone with experience pulling cash from both sites grant a newbie some knowledge?

I appreciate it in advance.

They're (FTP) just having a hard time right this moment. Usually the Bank Transfer option ($950 or less) is free. It's not currently working right now so hence the $50 wire transfer fees.

I don't know if Stars is better, but i'm of the opinion that FTP will be back to normal soon (few weeks ish)

Bank Transfer/Bank Wire/Premium Bank Wire/VIP Bank Wire are not the same thing

I (and others from what I read) have had a much higher success with a WIRE then people with Bank Transfers (from what I understand a lot of Bank Transfers have been converted to Wires)

I received a wire transfer this month one week after requested.

Does anyone know if you can deduct the transfer fees if you file a Schedule C as a professional gambler?

Yes.

In fact, even amateurs/hobbyists may be able to deduct (only) this type of expense. Stuff like cashout fees or ATM fees, unavoidable costs directly associated with the ability to play one or more sessions of poker, are likely to be considered legitimate "hobby expenses" (whereas amateurs cannot write off indirect expenses of poker such as hotel stays, gas, computers, food, etc which professional players can deduct).
