It was a "Bank Wire" rather than a "VIP Bank Wire", but whatever. I requested another one about an hour ago. Has not been approved yet, but it seems like these usually take an hour or so, and considering that it is xmas eve I'm not surprised. Will update with any new info.
I just got my second bank wire (both were converted from bank transfers).
The first wire I got a week or so ago was originally a 300$ transfer. It showed up in my account as a 300$ wire-in and my bank took 15$ in fees, so I got 285$.
However this second wire, which was originally a 200$ bank transfer, showed up in my account as a 150$ wire-in then my bank took a 15$ fee. So it ended up being 135$. Is this normal? I don't usually do wires but the other one showed up as the right amount at my bank before any fees were taken.

It's normal. It's kind of the luck of the draw on how much you get hit for intermediary fees. First time you got lucky and didn't have any, second time you hit about the average.
