Does it take longer for the first wire? I submitted a premium wire 5/31, approved very shortly after I submitted it on the same day. No receipt to a local credit union yet. I know it is still within a reasonable timeframe so I'm not concerned...just curious, as it is my first bank wire withdrawal request ever.

Thanks...

Not sure what this thread is all about but I see people posting their fee's:

I was hit for something like $37 in intermediary fee's and $12 wire fee from my own bank. Ultimately about $55 went missing from a $600 cashout. I also happened to try a normal bank xfer at the same time for the same amount and incurred no fee's. So xfer's for the win, to hell with wires.

anyone done a bank wire with ch@se bank recently? or are they still not accepting them.
read back a couple pages. not going to try it.

+1 to bank transfers and checks still being accepted though, if you want little amounts that is the way to go.

going to open a bofa account tommorow.

From what I have read you may have an issue with that bank.

Req $1500.00 5/31

Rec $1467.09 today

Kinda an odd amount and the one I did last week didn't have any fees but I am not complaining.

the "C" bank or the "B" bank? my friend banks with "B" and he has never had any problems with multiple large bank wires.

I've done a bunch of $950 withdrawals with no problem. I even did 2 successfully after June 1. The 3rd one I did, however, got posted to my account but then there was a -$950 reversal. I have BoA. Anyone have any experience with this and have any suggestions? Thanks.

Anybody have experience with bank wires for large amounts (over $10K) to canadian bank accounts? Ever any trouble?

(I won a WSOP ME package and FT is suggesting a one-time bankwire. I'll let you know how it goes)

I requested a premium wire $300 on 06/05.

I received in my account yesterday $263.25. $36.75 short.

I have taken out several premium wires in the past. Not once did I get charged any fees anywhere.

I called my bank, they said they did not charge me a dime and $263.25 is what was deposited in my account.

I of course emailed FT and they said possibly an intermediary bank charged me a fee????? I let them know I have this directly wired and have never had a fee in the past.

Am I to think somehow now, but never before, my wire is going to an "intermediary bank" and I am getting charged over 10% on my wire?!?!?! And why is this happening now and never before?

I don't know in the past if I have taken out $300. I know when taking out $250 I haven't been charged.

If anyone can shed some light on this, please do so. I feel like Full Tilt is just straight screwing me on this. My bank is local and they are 100% not charging me any fees. I feel like FT is pocketing $36.75 and I am left to deal with it...

Standard stuff bawshog. There was also a pop up warning you of the possible charges when you requested the wire.

Wires for a grand or less are silly, do either a bank transfer (ACH) or check. If you want more info about charges on wires, just look through this thread. gl

I hear you on the warnings. I guess I thought since in the past they didn't charge anything, that they never would. I guess I was way wrong.

Will they send me a detailed statement on where my money went? I just feel like I am taking it on the chin.

Thanks for the tips.

Nothing is free bro. It isn't the site charging, its the processor charging for processing and for risk of doing it if there is risk. We all pay it. And no they will not send you a detailed statement lol

Bank transfers have been coming in like a day, sometimes two or three if it's a weekend. They are free

They don't have anything to do with the intermittent banks, they won't be able to tell you anything. You may be able to request a trace from your bank, but these usually cost money, about 50 bucks IIRC and are usually done when your wire is completely missing.

About your best bet is to just email ftp and tell them your story etc. They probably wont, but in some cases will make one time credits as good will gestures. I haven't heard of them doing this on wires, but it's worth a shot. gl

EDIT: yea, as the poster above says, ftp did not charge this.

If the transfers are coming across that fast, I will start using them. I didn't want to wait two weeks to get the money, but if its coming through that fast, then I will go the transfer route.

I guess I was just shocked because I have used the premium bank wire quite a few times and this was the first time I had any kind of fee with it.

Thanks again for all of the info.

What is the difference between the premium bank wire and the bank wire? Does premium cost more? Do they both work? In the same amount of time? I see that the non-premium has a 10 K max instead of 5 K, and other differences? Thanks.

By the way I requested a premium bank wire early on Monday and it is in my bank account already, but it cost me $56 in fees. I am just wondering if the bank wire is cheaper (and if I need to withdraw more than 5 K I can do it in fewer withdrawals, and hopefully get hit with fewer fees.)

I'm about to do a w/d from FTP for 3000. In the past I have used the premium bank wire. Should I do a transfer instead? Seems cheaper and pretty fast. What am I missing?

You can only do up to $950 with a bank transfer and getting 3 BT's in a row for $950 could get your bank suspicious. ACH is how most people get their checks from work via "direct deposit" or an IRS refund, etc. Again, back to back to back transactions of 950 via ach just looks bad, imo.

I would do a check and maybe one BT, if you are that concerned with saving the 40 bucks or so.
