you will need to talk to your bank eventually. Maybe they are calling about something else....

if not...

then if they ask you about a transaction here are some suggestions:

1. you are recieving payment from an online business

2. you are a porn star and recieve payment from online processors

3. you are some kind of consultant and recieve payment from many different processors.

4. it is none of their gd business and who pays you for your work online and if they don't like it you will open account at one of the 35 other banks in town.

IDK, use your head, but what ever you do don't tell them its for poker. Its none of their business.

This wouldn't be that big of a deal, i only use the account for poker purposes so there's no $$$ in it unless I do a bank wire. I do agree though that I should confront them sooner or later and just use one of the excuses that was suggested (goin' w/ the logical choice w/ porn star). I'm also considering just opening up another account w/ a separate bank and just sending my poker $$$ there.

fyi, banks don't like it if you process wires in and then immediately remove it

example
you receive $5k wire from FT, the next day you transfer $5k to your regular bank account

this will give them good reason to think you are money laundering and is likely to make them ask questions of you

hey axis , i was accepted for a premium on the 27th march , to go to my netspend( or metabank)account, still nothing, but not surprised as it took over a month of verification(to get account opened after i first tryed to withdrawl , all the way down to a screenshot and card records. faith is only key, and maybe sending an email, but after seeing you are basically in the same situation as i am than i will hold off on emailing yet and just expect(or not expect,ha) that it will come anytime soon, one more week wait for me, but let's keep each other updated on this, yea?

I sent an e-mail to FTP that asked in a pretty nice way "where the **** is my money." I got this in response.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Full Tilt Poker Support.

We're sorry you are unable to locate your Bank Transfer withdrawal on your bank statement.

Here are the details of your Bank Transfer withdrawal:

Amount: $4000.00
Transfer Number: ********
Bank Account Number: xxxxxxxxx
Date Approved: March 26th

Please note, funds transferred from your Full Tilt Poker account may not be listed as "Full Tilt Poker" on your bank statement, and the billing descriptor used may be unfamiliar to you. If you're unsure whether a transaction is from Full Tilt Poker, please email us the transaction details and we'll be happy to confirm them for you.

We recommend reviewing the statement that corresponds to the bank account number listed above, beginning with the date it was approved to the current date. If you are still unable to locate the transaction, please provide us with a copy of your bank statement from the original approval date until the current date so we can investigate further.

If you bank online and do not receive a paper statement, please send a screen shot of your online statement. Before sending copies of your document, please ensure the following requirements are met:

* The copies are clear and legible (96 to 150 DPI or higher recommended for scanned copies).
* The copies include the full document (bill/pay stubs, folded papers and partial sections are not accepted).
* It must display your full name and the same address listed on your Full Tilt Poker account.
* Statements must clearly display your bank's letterhead or official logo and must show your account number
* We can only accept email attachments of 3 MB or less, and attachments can be in either JPEG (.jpg) or PDF (.pdf) format.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation. If you have any other questions, please feel free to email us. We're always here to help.

Is this just a stalling tactic on their part? I don't mean to brag about my sleuthing skills, but I think I could figure out if there was a 4k deposit in my bank account.

Sir I don't know where you got the idea to do a bank wire to a pre paid debit card. This will not work. I hope this doesn't cause problems to the card I and many use and enjoy. Again, you can not do a bank wire to a netspend. Also, please never attempt to deposit via echeck with your netspend, it will not work.

What you can do is deposit via visa and withdraw via bank transfer (an ACH transaction) What did you enter when asked for a swift code? You do know the difference between a wire and an ach transaction, right? I'm afraid you are going to wait a bit now, but I would email FTP and let them know what you attempted as it might speed up the process for you.

If this email you posted is real, LOL @ FTP for not even using the correct terminology in their own emails. Bank wire /= bank transfer.

I had a $1750 wire requested and approved on March 23 and now, twelve business days later, I am still waiting for the money. I have done many previous wires and all have come within three business days.

I got the same canned response as Saymond and sent in a screenshot of my bank info, only to be asked the same question (in the same canned email) as a response. Now, after a lot of back and forth, FT still claims to be waiting to hear from their payment processor about what happened. I of course checked with my bank and they have no record of any wire attempt.

The fact that this happened to others is not a good sign. Since some people are still getting their wires, perhaps just one of their payment processors is down.

Whatever the case, I need to do a $4k wire ASAP (don't ask, my finances are complicated). Is it possible for me to initiate another wire while I am waiting for this one to clear? Is it wise? It has been 2.5 weeks since the previous one was approved...

Beyond their cookie cutter form letter response, they are asking that you send them a copy of your bank statement. Did you do that? That's the next step.

This, unfortunately, is probably exactly what they are doing.

Yep, or ran with the money.

If you need less then 1k, I would advise you to do a bank transfer, they are coming pretty quick, most are within 72 hours. If you need more then that I would either look for someone looking for funds for cash trade in the person to person transfer thread or use http://www.garybenson.com.au/. Those are two quick ways of receiving cash. Both will cost you a little bit, but well worth it if you are actually in dire need. If you decide to go with the person to person transfer thread please do all your homework and use every tool/suggestion given to you in the OP of the thread. You can also ask others their opinion on weather a perspective trader is reputable. Intercash is fine and would be your best/safest bet.
Responded in quotes above.

Thanks for the info, NOFX.

You mentioned that I could do a bank transfer if I needed less than 1k. Does that imply that it is possible to start a second withdrawal (whatever the type) while I wait for FTP to figure out what happened? I have never tried that before, but it seems reasonable. If so, I may just gamble and do another "premium" wire while I wait.

I'm 99.9% sure you can, just try it to be sure. I've had two different cash outs in route, but not by the two methods you mentioned. Again, I'm almost positive you can.

Here is the bank transfer thread so you can get an idea of how they work. Please read at least the last few pages. http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28.../index400.html

This is with the assumption that you have funds in your account. If all your funds are tied up in that wire, you will need to wait until that is sorted. You can email them and ask them to cancel it and ship the money back to your account but either way it's going to take some time because if it's been "approved" then it's been sent to their processor and FTP will need to make sure the money wasn't sent/ get it straight with the processor.

$4k wire just requested and immediately approved. We will see if this one or the outrageously late one arrives first (if either actually do arrive...)

I do it all the time with checks. Not exactly the same thing, but I'd give it a shot for sure with wires.
