Does anyone know the kind of rewards that will be given out and what they will cost to obtain them? Seems interesting that there would be anything good and worth getting from this, but maybe who knows. Some of the things they say to do seem a bit stupid to do normally, but hey free stuff is free stuff. I just complete the tasks at low limits.

Yea, it's getting kind of annoying that they haven't been putting prices out yet. Probably waiting to see how big of a hit it is before they decide to set the prices.

Ya that could be true, it has been a bit since this has come out. Hard for people to work toward something when they have no clue what they need to get what they want lol. If there is another thread on this im sorry I didn't see it.

Would be nice for the players to know before they invest too much time and money into the "challenges".

For the serious player, the challenges aren't the focus of playing. It just ends up being a little extra reward.

Given that i'm pretty sure you can earn Credits while playing ultra-micro-stakes, i wouldn't anticipate them being worth much...even though the current placeholders in the store would make one think otherwise (Mini Cooper, 100K FTP Points, 6(!) sacks with dollar signs on them).

That hasn't prevented me from finishing the Chris Ferguson challenge (AKA play-500-hands-of-full-table-cash-NL-Holdem-while-never-open-limping-but-min-raising-your-premium-hands-from-EP) all 10 times and starting my 3rd round of the Sit & Go By The Numbers challenge. I only work on the challenges when my normal games don't look appealing. Plus, playing NL Holdem in a cash game was an interesting change of pace for me.

So, i wouldn't recommend going out of one's way to get Credits, but if you can get them in your ordinary course of play, it doesn't hurt. It also might be a good idea to learn the requirements of each challenge, because you might be able to mark opponents trying to fulfill tasks (e.g. someone raising to 2.5xBB from MP has 77-AA, AJ-AK, or whatever it is for the Ferguson one...alternatively, you can pretend you're trying to fulfill a challenge and mislead your opponents).

This is obtuse on so many levels it gives me a headache.

I agree with luvrhino, this is a decent distraction from your normal game, but don't put much stock in it. I expect the prices to be really high since some of the challenges are fairly easy to complete. It is kind of fun to drop down in limits and alter your playing style to complete a few of the challenges though. Sort of feels like collecting all the stars in a Mario game.
