So what do you do when all your $200 tickets are worth say $50? They won't be at the same time but they all will be eventually.

Let's say you then have a nice session and win $25 on every ticket. They are now worth $75. But for real you didn't really win anything since it's still more likely that your ticket will bust and be worth 0 than it is for it to reach it's $200 value again so you can start getting cash from it.

The correct way to do it is to try to get it into (+EV obviously) allin situations while it's still close to it's original value.

I dunno, personally I'd get $100 tickets for 50NL, $200 tickets for 100nl, $50 tickets for 25nl, etc..

This! I play NL25 and I bought 4 200$ RGT on the 6th. So my BR increased by 800$. I've been playing with them ever since (daily about 1.5 to 2 hours 4 tabling Rush). Cleared only 1 5th of the nesseccary points so far but oh well, tickets are still worth 750$. I'm clearing my bonuses with them and my cash BR only increases. I love them.

How the...

So say you play with $50 cash instead and win 25. Since it's more likely that you will loose 75 before you win 125 you have made no money?!?!? The ticket is a part of your BR and you will eventually clear it (actually you will prolly lose the ticket but it doesnt matter since that effectively clears it, and this means that you have gained the value of the ticket since you would otherwise have lost the value of the ticket in real $$)

Ok sir nice thinking.

How do you account for the money won/ticket lost with these?

I'm talking both about the way you look at it (winrate/bonus) and technically; if you ignore and just count it as a bonus, how do you filter out the hands played?

Every time you clear or lose a ticket you could consider the initial ticket worth as cleared bonus money.

So I am a dumbass who just bought 8 200$ tickets and will be going home to the USA for christmas soon. I have my stars grind to worry about and obv I dont want to have to stress about losing all this value over something so stupid.

FTP already said they cannot refund unused tickets, but I'm guessing if I make enough fuss they might?

But that will reduce my BB/100 artificially as I won't play the same with a ticket that can't be fuxking reloaded.

When you purchase a ticket, just add the ticket value in your tracker as if it were a rakeback/bonus payment, and proceed to grind as usual. It will not make a difference in your bankroll evolution whether you clear or lose the ticket, as long as it doesn't become expired.

I have read this thread and I still don't understand the ring game tickets. Is this how they work?

I bought 4 $200 RG tickets, they started at a value of $200 each. If I sit down and say the 1st hand I instantly win a $25 pot, and I immidiately leave the table the $25 is added to my cashier and my ticket stays at $200 correct?

If I don't leave the table and my balance of $225 drops to $200 there is nothing added to my cashier balance correct?

If I lose $25 the very first hand dealt at the table and then proceed to win $50 without leaving the table and my balance is $225 does my cashier get a credit $50 or just $25 when I leave??

Also whats the point in clearing these? If I clear them does the Ticket value become instant cash?

Thanks

Also, how does a ticket get topped up? If I have a $200 ticket and it drops to $150 in value and a few hours later I start a new session with a ticket worth $150, do I not get any cash credit to my account until it hits the $200 value mark again?

For example my $200 ticket is worth $150 becasue I lost some money on it. The next day I sit down with the ticket at 100nl and win 100bb. Do I get credited $50 into my cashier and my ticket is again worth $200 or do I still have a $150 ticket and $100 in my cashier?

Everything you said here is correct. If you leave with $225, you get $25 cash credit.

The point of clearing it is you can have the value of the ticket as cash.

You have to pass the $200 ticket limit for you to get cash credited to your account again.

Hey guys, first time ring game ticket user here, naturally had some problems:

Heads up about ring game tickets expiry dates. For example, if the expiry date is the 23rd, they expire right as the clock strikes the 23rd, not at the end of the day (which is pretty counter-intuitive). So you don't actually have the 23rd to use them.

Also, check your Full Tilt time zone. I never even looked at that. I live in the west. My tickets said they expire Nov. 23rd, so I logged in to use them today on the 22nd. To my surprise, they'd already expired. Why? Because my tickets were on eastern time. Missed it by less than 2 hours. E-mailed support. They told me to pound sand.

So that's $100 down the drain and support doesn't care. A warning so no one makes the same mistake.

^ expiry is calculated to the minute based on 168 hours from purchase or last use, not on beginning or end of day

just check ur cashier under view tickets, it gives the exact expiry time to the minute (time zone changes are also reflected here, so that shouldn't be a factor)

That's exactly where I looked. I can promise you it said November 23rd. I can promise you I logged in on the 22nd my time. So you can imagine my surprise to find the ticket expired because the 23rd was still an hour away.

The gist: Full Tilt was on EST. I'm on PST. I didn't realize this. Missed the actual expiry date by two hours when I thought I still had an hour til the 23rd even began.

Full Tilt support doesn't care about honest mistakes like this, won't do anything about it, and I don't want anyone else to lose a bunch of money because of an honest mistake. So I'm just posting this as a warning to anyone new to ring game tickets to do three things:

-double check and make sure your Full Tilt is in your time zone so you fully understand when the ticket expires

-go "Cashier -> View Tickets -> click the little circled I. This will give you full details of when the ticket expires. Don't just go "Cashier -> View Tickets" and look at the date like I did.

-don't glance at the expiry and leave it alone for a week thinking you've got time. Read every freaking detail about that ticket.

I just wasted over 20k ftp over this which is a lot to me so I don't want to see it happen to anyone else.

Hey guys, update.

After e-mailing support again and sending Shyam a pm, Full Tilt has credited the full tilt points back to me. Since I don't know if it was support or Shyam or both who resolved this issue, I'll say thanks to both.

Credit where credit is due. Full Tilt support cares. Major props to them.

Also, I've change my time zone in the FTP client so it now reflects my proper time zone. Lesson learned.

Can anyone tell me if I clear the Iron man mid year bonus is it released in increments or all at once when it's completed when using tickets? I am using the ring game tickets and I have cleared $105 of the bonus but I am not being credited for the bonus as it's clearing.

Is it possible that the tickets don't count towards releasing the bonus even thou they are supposed to?

Paid out in one lump sum after clearance. The only FT bonus that isn't incremental iirc.
