Took it to check cashing office. Surprisingly, no one there asked questions being that it's a foreign check.
The
normal way to find out if the funds are available for a check is to do that above. Simply call the number on the check to verify from the processor that its "good", that the funds are "available".
However in these "check bouncing" instances I'm sure that in the large majority of cases that when the checks were in customers hands and if people were to call at that moment right before depositing, that the funds "would be available".
Calling the 866 number does nothing because the checks are bouncing not immediately,
but instead 1-2-3-4 weeks later.
We realistically have no way to verify if the checks we receive now are "good" or not. And this makes a Check Cash Out option, a completely UNRELIABLE one.

Someone asked about whats the big deal with checks bouncing.
Well here's the big deal: If you keep bouncing checks your bank could just close your account.
Or more likely, the bank would just take a very close look at your account.
Who here wants their respective bank to take a "close look" at their bank account?
Not me, and not any poker player. All those "suspicious looking deposits and credits" would be brought to light and no good would come from that.

Ditto. I sent an e-mail 4 days ago about the status of cash-out options. Simply if checks were "good" now or were they still having problems, and when bank transfer would be returning. I have received no reply, and I did express serious interest in cashing out in the near future.
FTP is a joke x 1,000,000.
I don't even want to cash out with a check with how things are now for the above reasons, its just a huge ****ing hassle. Then I have to worry for up to a month if that money is "good" or not, meaning I can't really spend it, so then what is the point of cashing out anyway!?
I'm going to re-send my previous e-mail and put "URGENT" in the subject line and see if something happens.

Good luck to everyone in this thread who is getting checks now. We deserve better than this.
