I got a check via ups 2 day air (had this happen once before last summer when FTP was having problems and used moneygram for a while) on Oct. 10, and deposited via atm. It was not from the bank that all the bounced checks seem to be from, a Bank in America. This check was from a National Bank, and I have not received an e-mail, money back into my acct on FTP, and the money has remained available in my bank account.

Wondering if anyone is in this boat, or can I stop worrying, I am already assuming my check was good due to hearing nothing from FTP or my bank yet, but wanted to check if anyone was having a similar experience.

I am so upset, FTP is awful. I have been trying to cash out since 10/5. **** takes for ever to get handled. During that time ive had my withdrawal canceled 3 times. And now i have just one cash out option, check by mail, great. It takes 15 buisness days for arrival, tack on the 2 days for approval and another 10 days for your check to bounce. I am looking at another 4 weeks till I email them back and say, "hey, hi, ahhh yeah.... my money...." this is bull ****

Even if i get paid as stated within their approximate given time, it will take over 10 weeks until i finally get paid. This is not right!

my check has yet to bounce in my account that was deposited sept 2nd and i just got the email and account credited on Tuesday..

like i need to use this money but i dont wanna take it out and get f-ed

Received today. Drawn from H**C Bank Canada, Montreal. Called 866 number on check to verify from processor that it was good.

Took it to check cashing office. Surprisingly, no one there asked questions being that it's a foreign check.

Leave it in there.

They STILL haven't answered my emails... such a worthless site.

Still haven't received and want to see if it will bounce. I got no email from FT warning me not to cash it, but we'll see.

FWIW (probably nothing)... This is the email response I received today when I emailed FTP last week and said WTF?! after receiving and depositing a bad check.

I"ve had checks from multiple sites from this processor there has never been a problem with this one.

I've NEVER been nervous making a deposit before.

I deposited a check... Then 2 weeks later I got an email from FTP at 8am telling me not to deposit the check if I hadn't deposited it yet. I then checked my bank account and the check was still cleared so I thought FTP made a mistake.... but sure enough at 11am I checked my bank balance and there was a 1k hold on my account. I don't think there is any time limit for your bank to take the money back from a bad check

just deposit it, it's either going to clear or it won't, waiting doesn't accomplish that much imo

ya, my question is why are ppl scared?
does the bank get pissed or something when checks bounce?
does something happen to my account?
or is it just the fee (about 15$ for me iirc)

i'm in college and i've never dealt with bounced checks or anything like that. so i don't even know if i should be worried about it.

it just seems like other people are so i joined in the panic.

i wish this were the case, because i get absolutely hammered on bank wires... $44 by the intermediary bank and $10 by mine, every single time, premium or not.

Still no word from them at all.....

Received 4 other checks in the mean time that were requested at a later date.
Full tilt acknowledged first email but then completely ignored??? the next three before finally responding that it should be getting to me this week. I've always gotten good fast service from ft before so I don't know what happened.

Also, the two or three times that FT had to cancel my checks they've given me extra money, at least 100 each time

Also, if they keep giving away money like this when the checks don't clear, wouldn't this be incentive for them to help do away with the wire fees
