Fatbet poker and Melita Network... RIP? Fatbet poker and Melita Network... RIP?

Hi everyone,

I liked the Fatbetpoker room: fast software, great rakeback, worst level ever... very good for a micro player like me...

After several weeks without any play (work, work work), I got back to this room 3 days ago.
Traffic decreased of 95% (20 players online now. Peak traffic. And no game running). Very difficult to log in and no support (emails stay unanswered). Impossible to request a cashout (when I log in, can't access the cashier).

Same issue with all the network's room, I guess.
Is Melita Gaming Network disappearing?
Lucky me: had a cashout several weeks ago and got only 100€ left.

Any info on the situation of this network and FatBet Poker in particular?

Thanks in advance

I am very worried about this. I finally managed to get to cash out screen and requested one but not confident at all. This at the same time as the US indictments is ridic. Anyone know anything?

yep... Even Sebastien, at PokerCollectif.com (a French speaking poker forum from Canada), doesn't know a thing about it. And PokerCollectif is a white label partner of Melita Gaming Network with the room named Frogpoker...

Pity. I really liked the software and the small tournaments.

Well i have over €6k in there, so I'm more inclined to do something about it. Anyone know the first step in making a fuss?

Well, problem is: nobody answers. I tried to contact Melita Gaming network and still no answer.

Did you all signup with affiliates? If so, contact them. Then if nothing else, the affiliate can tell you if the site is communicating and/or paying them.

Cashed out my remaining 3700 there a few weeks ago. No probs then, paid in a few days. Maybe I just was lucky jumping ship just before it sank.

Hadn't logged in for a few days and didn't notice until reading this thread.

Was able to login and request a cashout to my bank account today, but I doubt whether it will be processed.

Hi!
im playing backgammon on playwsob, and i can give you some information. (i wrote an e-mail too, it was automatically denied). I found it on the playwsob.com homepage:

"In recent days it has come to our attention that our technology provider, the Melita Gaming Network (Tmg Ltd) based in Malta may have "critical financial problems" following the sudden departure of senior management, including CEO Mr Trevor Ellis and colleagues.

MGN has a contract with On a Roll Ltd, exclusive rights holder in World Series of Backgammon, to provide a 'white label gaming solution for money play, free play and exclusive and networked online tournaments, including payment processing, for its online backgammon brand, PlayWSOB.com".

MGN has not communicated with PlayWSOB except to say "a shareholders meeting has been called to determine the future of the network".

Players money "is safe" and we understand is 'ring-fenced', whilst also protected by the Malta Gaming Commission.

An 'unofficial MGG spokerperson' has described a "legal process being underway". They will not provide any further information at this stage.

We have however attempted to contact a number of key individuals involved with MGG and are awaiting a statement of affairs.

From the WSOB perspective, we are of course extremely surprised by these developments and angry at the extremely concerning lack of dialogue from the Melita Gaming Network or Group.

We are taking legal advice whilst urgently exploring a new technology partner for a home for our 1000s of players to transfer existing accounts. We are excited by very recent discussions with potential new partners who we believe will provide and even better playing experience. In the meantime, we will also secure answers from MGG and MGN, as a matter of urgency, with information about how players' monies will be returned, if this facility is not in place through the client system.

We apologise profusely to our players and partners for the inconvenience caused, particularly to players wanting to win seats for the WBF European Championships, one of the world's great tournaments, who we recently partnered with. WBF partnered with us in good faith. We will seek to make a financial compensation of some sort to our players on the restart of PlayWSOB.com on a new gaming platform.

Please do contact support@playwsob.com if you have any specific enquiries. Please do bear in mind we are receiving a high volume of emails at present but will endeavour to answer enquriries as fast as possible as and when we receive information from Melita Gaming.

Ends."

so i guess, your money will not be lost, but it takes a little bit time to see what is really happening.
(i dont think there would be some connection with the indictment against the us poker sites.)

A couple tables running better now. Are things better for everyone, are being hearing about their pending cashouts?

are they going to close the network? I am still waiting my cash out. I cash out 3 days ago somehow.

I actually like the software and don't want this server to close.

Things looking better than I expected:

- Requested FatBet cashout through bank transfer for a little over 100 Euro on 18 April. Heard nothing. Tonight, I sent a message through the contact form on their website and an e-mail to their parent company TrueMoneyGames to ask when it will be processed. Within a few hours, I got a message that the cashout was processed. Let's see if it hits my bank account in a couple of days.

- Requested TrueMoneyames cashout to ClickandBuy this morning. This evening, received message that cashout was cancelled because ClickandBuy is not available anymore for cashouts. Immediately requested Moneybookers cashout, money hit Moneybookers account within a couple of hours. Was only for 6.75 Euro, but still...

Got my cash yesterday... took days instead of hours. Traffic is back to "normal" but I'm still worried about the silence from the support, the room and the network...

Since a few days, there is no traffic anymore at all. The software shows a message that they ceased operations.

Hi,
I still have € 50k on fatbet. I did my last cashout request on march 20th. No money till now. I contacted fatbet and truemoneygames support and did not get a reply.
Truemoneygames is licensed and regulated by the Lotteries & Gaming Authority Malta. You can read in the FAQ that customer money has to be on seperate accounts and is not allowed to use for company operations.
My english is bad so it would be nice if someone could phone the Lotteries & Gaming Authority to get some information.

i also got an email (not to any i sent whilst they were awol, i kept sending asking about the cashout (~€6000) id requested when it was difficult to sign in), saying that my withdrawal to my bank account had been processed. Im in the UK and we've had a stupid number of bank holidays recently so I'm still waiting. I just hope i got my IBAN and BIC right, I've never done it before!

Will post if/when I receive money.
