Does anyone know if GGPoker allows players to change their country in order to circumvent gambling restrictions?

I live in the EU and have to adhere to very strict deposit limits (1k in total amongst all sites), a max table nr of 4, no access to certain features and table limits, etc. It's annoying, but what can you do. However, I now saw several streamers who apparently circumvent this issue. One plays tournaments clearly from the EU (I guess Belgium which has also very strict rules); he even mentions it on stream, but is displayed to play from Mexico. Another guy streamed PLO cash from Germany. After the restrictions were introduced, his flag changed to Austria, even though he sits in the same freakin room as before. Same setup, same angle, same everything.

I'm not trying to give these people any issues, as it is clear to everybody who watches them (and they mention it themselves). I just wonder if there is a general and tolerated practice that lets people circumvent said strict restrictions.

Short answer - No

It can definitely be done not sure how, probably just log into your account with a VPN and change the country?. I know all the Australian players have changed their flag to New Zealand on GG and continue to play even though online poker is illegal in Australia.

Playing poker online is not illegal in Australia, but the provision of online poker services without a license is. And there doesn't seem to be any way to obtain a license to provide poker. Clubs with slot machines and sports betting sites have the government in their pockets.

Some players play on Pokerstars.com from restricted countries... surely that means Stars is okay with that...

Online gambling is illegal under the current Common Gaming Houses Act 1953 (CGHA), the Betting Act 1953 (although the Act does not explicitly cover it) as well as Syariah Law.

I read it fine he asked if GG allow people to play under a different flag than their residence to circumvent regulation. Seeing as i have seen people with the Antarctica flag when there are zero permanent residents on that continent it would indicate your answer was incorrect.
