Did Pokerstars flatten Tournament payouts even more

I am currently in the BIG 22$ however the backend payouts are SMALL. For a tournament advertised as BIG with a 50 thousand guarantee they are paying out increases of just .64 cents per level or .056% and increasing by .01%.
Was it always this bad?

To answer your question, I think PokerStars has always had a lot of tournaments where the backend payout is small and these are usually the tournaments that attract a lot of participants.
If you want to find a tournament that seems normal based on what you're talking about, and want to emulate, you might have to look and go up or down in buyin because PokerStars offers a lot of tournaments with different player caps and payout structures.
