I tried searching but only found a thread in the bonus forum. Anyone play there/know the deal with them?

From what I could gather skimming the other thread they are not on a network, but use microgaming software, and are offering a $350 deposit bonus (which they are spamming via snail mail, which I got.) Bonus is 100% match, cleared in $10 increments, 100 raked hands per $10.

I have no clue about:
Number of games actually running (all signs point to very few)
Affiliate offers (Doubt they exist right now)
Deposit/Withdraw methods/effectiveness

Looks like they have a cash game leader board, and a few hundred people with at least one point. Here are how points are awarded from their site:

Quote:
# Leader Boards are based on points that are earned at the following rates

* Fixed Limit
o 1 point for each raked hand at 5c/10c, 10c/20c, 25c/50c
o 2 points for each raked hand at 50c/$1, $1/$2, $2/$4 and $5/$10 tables
o 1 point for each raked hand at, $10/$20 and $15/$30
* Pot and No Limit
o 1 point for each raked hand at limits 5c/10c and 10c/20c
o 2 points for each raked hand at all limits 25c/50c up to $1/$2
o 1 point for each raked hand at limits $2/$4, $3/$6. $5/$10
So, looks like those 'mid' stakes games are brutally raked!

Anyway, has anyone here actually played there?

Has anyone played or is playing at CoolHandPoker...net?

Seen a commercial for it the other day, seems like it could be soft.

Do they accept US players?

I guess not, there is an American flag on the site behind a "no" symbol. That sucks.

Yeah they are a standard Microgaming Skin so no new Americans. The bonus clears pretty fast on there - one of the better deals available from what I was able to calculate. They are part of a reasonably sized group of online casinos which I guess is relevant considering the state of Microgaming Skins these days.

their slogan is 'no pros, hustlers or sharks' and its on the microgaming network.
how do they impose this slogan?
or is it just talk/bull**** ?

I played there and still have an account there. US and got in before they stopped allowing them.

But I refuse to play at any microgaming site anymore so it doesn't really matter.

Anyone have any experience playing at this site? I believe they are part of the microgaming network.

I have been noticing a ton of TV ads for this site up here in Canada.

Their Slogan is " No Pros, No Sharks, No hustlers "

I'm interested in how many fish they bring in, and also wondering what their official policy is on "sharks", like will I be asked to leave if I win, etc.

they are part of bellerock gaming which includes riverbelle, lucky nugget, jackpot city etc.

long time, long respected poster at 2+2. havanabannana works for the room. i don't think they allow multi tabling and most of the players seem to come from the casino. they have a ton of crapshoot stuff like hyper turbos where the blinds go up every 2 hands. some fun tourneys, but i don't see much traffic there.

they are not going to kick you out for winning imo.

Wtf?

They are part of Microgaming network but with exclusive tables on certain limits. Of course they allow multitabling.

Their "anti-shark" policy is as follows:

-Only 3tabling is allowed at the maximum.
-Highest limit spread is $400NL

Seems like a nice room. I like the ads.

If they are on microgaming, how do they prevent multi-tabling from other skins?
Or are the multi-tabling restrictions mainly for the local tables?

There is a new site that has launched, (coolhandpoker.com) it's been marketed heavily in the UK. On the tv advertisements it guarentees a more friendlier enviroment to play online poker. Citing that the site is free of 'professionals' and 'sharks' (actually says 'sharks' out loud aswel lol). First of all, if say Durrrr or another pro came out ( no not like that) and said they play there, would this be false advertising. Also does anyone play there? Whats it like?

i dont know, but the phil hellmuth imitation on the advert is pretty good

Its a microgaming skin, so

a) It's obviously complete bollox to suggest that you won't be playing any pros and very probably false advertising;

b) It might go busto taking players deposits with it.

If it claims the site is free of "professionals" this may well be false advertising but saying the word sharks is completely subjective and not false advertising.

Cliffs
Poker site is advertised on UK TV
Poker site claims to be soft but is just a skin of an already running poker network which I thought was in liquidation

They use the Microgaming software but dont share the network, they have their own. Nonetheless, avoid Microgaming sites by any chance

How can they make such claims? Do they spot professionals, hustlers, and sharks and ban them? I suppose only an idiot would believe them, and idiots make the perfect customers.
