Hey,

Looking to deposit onto merge, ipoker, or stars.
I'm currently with ****bank and apparently they are leading the charge against online gambling in canada.

I was wondering what other bank options do I have.

I believe moneybookers is out of the question, how is instadebit?

If your canadian, play on stars.

Use Prepaid CC's to deposit cash.. and who the F cares its legal here and probably will be for years to come. You could always.. you know... open another account somewhere else?

I've been playing on stars for a while, however the rake at lower stakes is absolutely abysmal which is why I'm considering moving elsewhere.

I traditionally use prepaid mastercards when I deposit on stars. I was just wondering what other options were available.

Well myself personally I'm with RBC.. I honestly don't even see it as a problem if I did deposit.

I opened an account at BMO and specifically told them it was for poker deposits and there was no problem with it.. the lady who I spoke to was actually really interested.

Sounds good. I'm currently doing my CMA, so I do get a low interest LOC through BMO, so i'm leaning towards opening there.

Scotia is pretty anal in regards to it.

Are you direct depositing/withdrawing through BMO or through moneybookers etc?

Yeah instadebit for withdrawals seems to work great.

Plus stars is not as sketchy to share bank info with.

I'm currently at Scotia, but been hearing bad things, looking into opening either a TD or a BMO one.

Instadebit over moneybookers/netteller?

I use TD and have been able to deposit to and withdraw from Pokerstars, iPoker, and Moneybookers with no problems.

Curious to know the bank that got starred out in the OP (send a PM if you feel so inclined).

I'm guessing they'll be losing the fight - Quebec already has legal igaming, supposedly Ontario is on its way, and others coming along too. They've figured out what the US never could: There's a **** load of money to be made in igaming.

Instadebit isnt good. You can have only C$ account with them so if you want to transfer money from one site to another you have to pay fee.My Moneybookers account is in us $ so you dont have to pay fee.

Stars allows $C deposits/withdrawals I believe. I doubt the euro networks do so I see the problem.

I haven't found a Euro that doesn't wanna screw me both ways on this. So to use Instadebit is 4 currency conversions round trip. No thanks.

I was thinking of opening up an account at a different bank, while keeping my main stuff at scotia. However, I've read TD closing accounts that deem suspicous with MB/Instadebit.

both plus bank wires plus checks. Every method everyone has used and never had a problem aside from the time one of these idiots sent one of us an actual german check that the banks in canada didnt even recognize. Had to send it back to them and they resent it

Lol.

With Moneybookers now an option for Ebay. So if they ask why the moneybookers, I can say shopping on ebay. Whenever I do cash out, it'll be possibly through a physical cheque, so it wont be a moneybookers transfer to the bank. It'll be a cheque cut from pokerstar or whatever network.

I'll set one up and see how it goes.
