I installed Yosemite today. Getting this message now after reinstalling the Bovada client:

You can’t open the application “BovadaPoker” because it is not supported on this type of Mac.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is anyone's client working with a dual-monitor setup?

Try temporarily turning your firewall off, try and fire it up and see if it connects. I am on yosemite and it runs fine.

If you would like, create a new user with admin privileges on your mac. don't install any other program on the user other than bovada. copy the console log and send it either in a pm or post it to the thread and ill take a look at it. also check out system.log. The log I am primarily looking for is appfirewall.log, which is found under /var/log. You have to have root permissions to view the log. This should point us in the right direction

Prob a dumb question but where is the option to "repair disk permissions"?
Also "recovery mode" is the same as "safe mode", correct? (I hold shift during startup)

Thanks

For the past two days i've gotten the message
"There seems to be a temporary problem affecting the Poker client installation. Please try again in a few minutes. Sorry for any inconvenience caused. (SSL handshake failed)"

Anyone else having an issue with this or have a solution?
Thanks

I tried using the virtualbox program but couldn't ever get windows installation done. Made me download some download software and never figured out wtf was going on. Just kept saying downloading forever and couldn't find the file. I'm a moron I guess.

That being said is parallels a program worth buying? Or should I buy windows and then use virtualbox?

I'm playing right now using parallels. Works pretty flawlessly from my experience.

I've tried turning firewall off as well as adding Bovada to the allow list. Getting this error in console (followed by many others). Not showing anything Bovada in my appfirewall.log.

For people using parallels: I have parallels but need to buy a windows OS, would you suggest 7 or 8?

Thanks

My opinion is 7 for sure. 8 is more catered to tablets and touch screens using its metro tiles.

You should go to Best Buy or any computer store near you and try out 8 first. It has some cool features but it is a hole new windows experience with the gestures and mouse swipe short cuts.

Thanks for the screen shot....

Every one is having the same problem with Bovada and there Mac. Bovada says there technicians are working on it. However it has been over a week and we still do not have a fix. Hopefully soon.

I am having the same issue, as are most of us. I called yesterday and they swore up and down that the issue was created in 10.10.1. I could not make it work any more on 10.10, but they said it should work. It does run on older versions of OS X. They recommended I downgrade, but I don't have a back up.

They said they are working it, but have no time line for a fix.
