i spent 5 months with them about it, as is chronicled in this thread. i got to the technical team somewhere in asia and i also got to the supervisor's supervisor. that was when it all went to ****, though, as she just put her iron fist down and told me that there was nothing she would do and was putting a note in my account file that she said as much and any future play is done at my own risk. needless to say, i got a pc. then a month later they updated and it has been just as crappy but at least the client doesn't crash on me

You know you could have saved your money and got a flash drive and purchase parallels and run windows and play ignition don't ya? That is what I am doing.

ignition keeps freezing on my mac mainly whenever i am registering for a tournament or when one is starting. It freezes maybe once an hour and i have to quit and log back in and get booted out of all cash games in am in at the time it happens.

I had unchecked the animation box but that didn't help. Any recommendations on how to somehow get it behaving properly?

I've noticed the app really starts to freeze up more often when I mess around with tournaments and Sit and Go's

The new update though.....I think we are heading in the right direction. Finally! When you get that spinning wheel of death don't restart right away. Be a little patient and usually the app will unfreeze and fire back up. Roughly within 5-10 seconds from my experience.

I only downloaded the software a week ago. Has there been an update since?
do you suggest deleting and reinstalling?
the spinning wheel of death is exactly what i get and the app shows as "not responding" when i click on it. I havent seen it unfreeze so far but maybe i have never waited long enough. I force quit within a few seconds and log back in.

It will automatically update when the update is available and you fire up the app. Latest version is 4.30.......pretty sure.

The best thing to do is to install Windows via BootCamp. I can play Bovada fine on my Mac Pro (desktop) but not on my Macbook Pro after the updates not too long ago. It's just too buggy on OS X, I would get a spinning wheel just opening multiple tables and having to force quit often. Tried everything to fix it.

I installed Windows and Ignition works great, if you're going to be playing a lot you might as well get a stable setup. You can choose what operating system to boot into at startup and it's pretty easy to get a hold of a copy of windows.

Is there an iphone/ ipad app for ignition? The client on macbook is really atrocious and keeps freezing.
Anybody aware if they are doing anything about it? They have told me several times its because of my connection but its obviously an issue with teh software with so many people facing it. Do you guys think there could be a fix anytime soon?

If you go to the website of ignition on your phone and/or iPad you can play. You can play the cash games only but no sng or tourneys.

works nicely for one cash game on my iphone but i am not able to see last hand replays. Is there any way to do that on the phone? Maybe just go in the hand history on the mac and try to replay the hand?

Did anybody ever figure out how to overwrite the Ignition alerts on Mac? their alert sounds are a recipe for tilt. This is aside from the fact that if you checkoff "check/fold", it will still ask you if you want to check or fold when it's your turn.

Bumping if anyone can help.

Tried to open the BOVADA poker client for first time in years on OS X version 10.9 imac

The app would open to the black screen (which I now realize had an easy fix)

I deleted the app and have reinstalled several times while emptying the cache. When I double click to open nothing happens, as in there’s no thinking or nada; whereas before a black screen would pop up.

Is this computer to old to run the poker client or does anyone have a solution?

Thanks.
