I am a poker player since 2007. My screenname on PS is yenomrtgllwi and my account on bodog is yenompoker. I have been playing on most of the sites and and during my career there were no financial or fair play issues with poker sites and other players. During the last months starting December 2019 I had been living in Bali and around May 2020 opened an account on bodog88.

I deposited around 1500$ and started playing tournaments and some cash, mainly nl500. At the end of august I made a huge cashout around 17k and left about 2500 to play with. Ran it up to 7k+ and that is when my account got frozen. At first I was asked to send my documents which I did. I had been waiting for my account to be reopened, wrote several messages to support team but received no answer. Then in live chat I responded to some questions they had asked me. A day later my account was banned and I got this message


After that in live chat I have talked with them several times asking to provide any evidence and explanation yet they just simply ignore it and write that the decision is final.

It is common knowledge that the burden of proof should be carried by one who is making the claim. They are claiming that I broke the rules yet they don't provide any evidence for that. I also asked them to get in touch with me on the phone and to talk to investigation team but got the same reply.

It is unacceptable that a poker site can just seize all money without any explanation.

They have not mentioned, from what you have posted here, that they are seizing your funds

Simply reply to the email asking them to cash out your full balance to whatever payment method you used previously. Send only 1 email, not more than 1

Nothing else is needed to be said in that reply to them

Stop dealing with chat support, it’s useless in such an instance

Don’t create, or use, any more accounts on Bodog, it’s related sites, as well as any network they run

OP, what do you think they ban you for?

As long as you get your money (the 7+K left in your account), you have no right / claim against them. There are private company and have the right to choose who they do business with.

Case close.

Hopefully if you've done nothing wrong you get your money back. I got my bankroll cashed out within a few hours fwiw.

That's the price you pay for playing in an unreliable online poker platform.

It's part of the Bodog Network which is more reliable than some of the other sites available.

Very helpful post. Also right on point, given that Bodog's been around for almost 20 years, while you play on GGPoker, which has been here for ~6 years. Makes a lot of sense.

Are you even allowed to have accounts on more than 1 skin of the bodog network?

Yea, but obv not if you were banned on the other skin.

It seems like you violated some of their bonus whoring rules, which are vague and genuinely shitty, but they claim the right to seize funds that were won from bonuses.

I have not violated any bonus rules as I have only received first deposit bonus.

Bodog isn't regulated. AFAIK, GG Poker is regulated in at least some jurisdictions.

Cool. That doesn't relate to them being an "unreliable online poker platform". I only brought GG Poker into it because it has much less history, and thus it's rather silly to call out another network for being unreliable, when they've been in business for over 3x longer than the one he's playing on. GG Poker may be very reliable as well, and hopefully will also be around for decades.

That said, some of the largest and most famous poker site failures have come at "regulated" sites. And also some at sites that had been around for quite a long time. There are no guarantees, unfortunately. But also no reason to come into a thread like this to drop the "That's the price you pay for playing in an unreliable online poker platform" hot take.

OP probably has 3.5 accounts on bodog and not telling us that information.

Yes I think I had one account before but I did not play real money there.

If anyone is willing to help me deal with this situation I would be willing to pay some percentage. Pm me
