The most tables I've ever played at once on Bovada is 8 which was 4 mtts and then 4 sngs or 4 cash.

I think you should be able to play at least 6 cash at once and a least 8 sngs at once. You can't make any arguments that it discourages recreational players when nobody has a clue with anonymous tables if someone is playing one table or several though it's sort of obvious if someone is able to register for three or four of the same sng before one fills aka they are probably player one n those games.

ice the cards are pretty terrible. at the very least implement some new color options for the cards (like the tables) there's really no current setup where you can easily see everyones cards. the best is the red background but even then it's pretty difficult.

Bodog Ice,

Please pass along the fact that many players are unhappy with the new cards and players should have the option of choosing which cards they want displayed.

Sorry, the network is very happy with the number of tables allowed and isn't going to change any time soon.

Like I said, other than what I specifically outlined in my last post.. everything else you see was decided on by your specific operator. You should let your operators support know if you are unhappy with their offering.

I don't care about the cardbacks. It's the front of the cards that tilt me most often!

Sorry if this is a stupid question but can you please explain to me who all the 'operators' are?

I thought Bovada was one site (the old Bodog renamed). You keep referring to 'the network'. Is there more than one site using the same software?

It is like other networks, which all have their own operator (or skin) that run on that network, such as the latest operator to join the Bodog Network: TLC88.

The four table limit has nothing to do with encouraging recs.

Its about maximizing the amount of money they take from recs via rake/casino/sports betting by minimizing the amount of money they lose to good poker players.

I would be fine playing 3 games and then being registered in several other tournaments and whichever one fills first I will take that and I get booted from the rest I am registered for.

Secondly,

why are people able to play 20 mtts, but only 4 sng

Is their an way they can add super turbo 6 man games for limits under $30 as right now they are now those are only available in 9 man games?

Morphy,

I got that same error message. I think it because of that new sports tag banner they put at the bottom of poker client lobby. I guess they want people to stop playing poker and start betting on sports. It is probably more profitable for them. I do hope they fix it though because it forced my software to close when I was in the middle of 2 tournaments, one of which was the 10K.

Bodog Ice,

How much do you know about collusion on Bovada?

1. Is it more common on their site than say Pokerstars or other sites given the anonymous tables?

2. What game types and levels is it most likely to occur at ($10 double ups, $50 double ups, MTTs, $20 9 man regular SNGs, etc.)?

3. How much time does Bovada employees spend trying to stop colluders or are they much concerned with it because they are mainly a sportsbook.

4. How easy are they to find?

^^^^ This is why contacting Bovada support at least 90% of the time is a waste of time. They are useless in matters like this and always blame it on your computer when it's clearly on them.

Support just phone called me at my house and asked for more information about it after I replied stating how it was not just me having issues so hopefully they can get it corrected.

If anyone gets this and can screen shot it please email it to them but as of the last hour I haven't received the error again.

I hit continue the first time it came up, and dismiss all the 2nd. After the 2nd time the banner in the lobby went away and no messages since. So uhh, there I fixed it!

Also had that error, hit continue and it didn't return for the rest of session.

Hi Iceman,

Can you find out the percentage of players on the Bovada skin vs. the other skins?

Thanks

in regards to the error message:

1. I sent them a screenshot of the error message and they told me they would send it to the appropriate department
2. I don't think it matters if you press continue or dismiss because the next time you start the software it will just pop back up again.

Iceman,

Could you explain what the 2x Main Event Last Chance ($50 + $5) tickets can be used for?

When I look at the tournament lobby, the only 50+5 tournies I see are 10k and 4k guarantees. I don't see any for that buy-in that are related to the Main Event.

Thanks.

Hey guys,

Addressing a few of the questions you guys have asked over the last few days:

First, the issue with the update: It is now a known issue that seems to be related to the sports ticker that was introduced with the 4.10 update. It is being worked on.

Quote:
“I would be fine playing 3 games and then being registered in several other tournaments and whichever one fills first I will take that and I get booted from the rest I am registered for.”
Quote:
“6max super turbos under $30”
Quote:
“$2/$3 nlhe games”
Quote:
“Allow hand histories to be downloaded more than once within the 7 day download period”
These requests were passed along.

Obviously I can’t comment on what other sites do, but I have been told that there has not been any increase since the move to anonymous tables, especially since the players have the ability to look for it with all hands being available after 24 hours. Players send in hands that concern them… often times it ends up being bad play.. nonetheless, all reports are taken seriously by the security team and investigated thoroughly. Their tools and security teams, along with player help, make them feel confident that the Bodog Network is a fair and safe place to play for all players.

Sorry, this is information that is information that I’m not allowed access to.

3. How much time does Bovada employees spend trying to stop colluders or are they much concerned with it because they are mainly a sportsbook.
The Bodog Network has a full time security team that is dedicated to protecting the integrity of the game. The network has also invested in top of the line anti-collusion tools. The network believe that it would go against everything they believe in, and do, in order to keep games fair.. only to have them go awry through a lack of security.

Quote:
4. How easy are they to find?
It depends on the situation, but much of it is found through their security tools and some through player reporting.

Quote:

This is outside of my scope, so it isn’t anything I can comment on.

Quote:

To try to clear this up even more, the Bodog brand licenses the name and “Bodog” brand to different companies. These companies are not the same as the Bodog Network and the network does not run these companies that license the name/brand.

I don’t know off hand, but I will try to find out. Meanwhile, I would check the MTT > Satellite lobby from time to time. If a tournament is available that uses that ticket, it will say Ticket on the left column of that lobby.

Any questions, comments, or suggestions.. please let me know!

Hello Bodog. Has the Mac client been fixed yet? I play through Windows but would prefer to play via Mac OS. All previous attempts to install Bovada for Mac have not worked and Tech support basically told me to uninstall and re-install.
