Bodog_ice, So I am wondering...Are you guys even taking any of our suggestions/complaints seriously?

This site has been around a long time and it appears your fine with it just coasting the way it is because you have players. Im a little upset because There is ZERO rakeback, and all these stupid points only turn to tourney tickets? Your slapping us cashgame regs in the face with that. Create points to cash if your not going to have rakeback!

Mike

You might want to visit the thread titled Bodog (Bovada) payout thread for US players (DO NOT post bank names) for more information

You have to understand what Ice's position is. He's not a Bodog employee; he's a consultant. He takes the ideas posted in this forum and sends them to some Bodog employee who then gives him back generic responses. Ice has no power to do anything other than pass along suggestions. I assume he can pass them to someone higher up than one of us emailing or calling support, but that's it.

As far as rakeback, you're never going to get it. That's just the way it is. Bodog has said this several times, and it flat out isn't going to happen.

You seem to be totally confused about Bodog.

They couldnt care less about what poker players want period.

They charge twice as much in rake as other poker sites and do everything within their power to take every edge they can away from winning players to try to level the playing field to create even more rake.

They have publicly flaunted those facts as their great new poker business model under the blanket of creating a better poker economy.

Its true that their poker economy is now better, for them.

As for players, the games are the same, its always been the sportsbook that brought in the rec players, the only difference is that all players pay much more rake.

Its up to you to decide if the games you play are worth paying all the extra rake at the end of the day. Some believe they are, others choose to play elsewhere. GL.

Atleast a 5-10 dollar hi low rebuy with addon during the week at the minimum.. Its just common sense.

I will pass your suggestions along. The Bodog Network has been happy with the growth the both plo and o8 has had, and they are always looking for places to expand even more when they believe it will be successful.

Also every other site has a series at the beginning of the year... where r you bodog/bovada? Biggest tournament 10k a night isnt cutting it anymore. It goes atleast 2k over gurantee every night averaging 300 players.

The first series of 2012, Black Diamond Poker Open, started in early February and lasted just over a month.. so I imagine I will have information on Black Diamond Poker Open 2 to pass along soon.

Bring Back nicknames it brings so much life back into poker. And noob players can still win the way the software is anyway so the fish will remain.

This is a change that the Bodog Network is very happy with and has no interest in changing. The move toward the recreational player model, which includes the switch over to the anonymous tables, has been successful for the network and has created a very healthy place for players to play.

Turn off the chat filter or atleast make it reasonable. I can type ass with no problem but if i type whole it blocks it out. <-- ridicolous..

Half of the pre buttons dont work MAIN 1 being fold or call buttons before action gets to you.

20 seconds to play or sitout. to many players stall from the start of the tournament which i do not understand. It makes the player miserable for every player which in the end makes people not play on the site.

This, and other issues, are being worked on and I do hope that we’ll see an improvement on these soon.

Absolutely! Like I’ve said before, I am playing on the network nearly every day and run across many of the same issues that you guys do.. so it is also in my interest to help the network improve and grow.

This site has been around a long time and it appears your fine with it just coasting the way it is because you have players. Not at all.. the network is actively looking for ways to improve, most recently with the addition of a new operator in TLC88. The network has added a native mac client and added new languages (all of which help add new players) amongst other improvements. Unfortunately, points to cash and other forms of rakeback is something that the Bodog Network is not interested in offer as part of their recreational model. You are more than welcome to email your operator and suggest that they add more options, but the Network is more interested in using this money for finding and keeping the recreational players that keep the games running as they are.

I read through some posts and didn't see it suggested, but I am sure it has been discussed previously. But, can we please get synchronized breaks? If you're going to give us the option to play 20 mtts at the same time then breaks at different points of the tournament serve no purpose.

Every other site that I've played on has synchronized breaks. It just makes sense. It can't be that difficult to add to the software, can it?

As a person who likes to play 4-6 tournaments at a time because I'll get bored otherwise, the 5 minute break would be greatly appreciated. Sometimes I just need 5 minutes to refocus, go to the bathroom, get some water, etc., and it's really difficult to do when all the tournament breaks are at different times.

Yes, really.

Its not uncommon for players to get 50%+ in rakeback or equivalent at some sites.

If Bodog is giving players virtually nothing, are you arguing they arent charging twice as much rake when both sites use the same industry standard rake?

Am I wrong here as you implied?

Re: *** Official Bodog Network Support Thread ***

And just like that.. I am happy to announce that the details for Black Diamond Poker Open 2 are now available:

Like last year, it will be 2 series:

The Contender Series

Starts Sunday, February 10th and wraps up Sunday, February 24th

43 events, with buyins ranging from $3.30 to $55. The Main Event ($55) will have a $30,000 guarantee on it. The series will have over $150,000 in guarantees.

Expect 2 nightly events during the week (for those of us in the Western hemisphere).. plus a morning event to attract our Asian players.

Satellites will begin February 4th and conclude February 23rd.

The Championship Series

This bigger series starts March 10th and ends on Sunday, March 24th.

As with the Contender, there will be 43 events.. with 2 each night and 1 in the morning during the week. Buyins will range from $22 to $425. The $425 Main Event will have a $250,000 guarantee on it.. and the Championship Series will have over $700,000 worth of guarantees.

Satellites for most Championship Events will start February 25th and will conclude March 23rd. Satellites for the Main Event will start February 4th.

Yes.. you are incorrect. The network does not charge twice as much rake. Also, operators on the network are giving out lots of value in promotions and give aways. On top of that, as you pointed out, the network does promote a recreation model.. which keeps games softer than at other sites. If you have any more questions about this.. please send them to me via pm.

It has been addressed before.. but it has been awhile. The network has no interest in adding sync breaks at this time.

Will there be any promotions tied to the BDPO? Like an MVP contest or tickets added to contender events for entry into championship events? thanks...

That I did not know. Wasn't trying to sounds annoyed by him its more the fact that bovada literally says your our ***** to our faces because they know that we can't do anything about it.

Just frustrating. Bovada is literally the only site that you can count on to actually pay you out. The software is udderly pathetic and they are doing their most to pad their pockets. Funny how Ive read many rec players say it gives them a better shot at winning. Either way getting paid out/ still having a noticeable edge make it worth playing nl25-100 cash. above that you won't catch me in any game without rakeback

MMM I believe what you are doing is trying to look at your hand histories in tern means getting better and winning money. Bovada has no interest in your statement. Only if your going to keep reloading on their site and not cash out do they care what you have to say

Yea, I dislike this. You really have to stay on top of your HH downloads... I've forgotten before and lost some data

Say one "wins the $250,00 Main event for like $50,000. How can we reasonable get all the money off the site within 2 years?

Also you didn't answer my question about putting a bi-weekly or monthly poll on the site where players can vote on site suggestions at their priority and have them implemented in a timely fashion??

What good would a poll do? Bodog has already proven that they are going to do whatever they want and input from places like 2+2 doesn't even register on their priority list. Sure, let's get them a poll that says 500 people want the bugs fixed. It's been a year, they haven't done a single thing. A poll thread is worthless.

Checks are arriving in 2-4 weeks right now. Bovada allows players to queue up checks so that subsequent checks come in ~ 1 week apart. Max check is 3k. Also, certain high volume, trusted, clients have access to larger withdrawal methods. Thus, the claim that it would take 2 years to receive 50k is at least a 4x exaggeration... shouldn't take more than 6 months, if that.

If you want to know more about recent speeds in their cashier, check this thread here.
