This answer is better. Could you give more details. Is every single item being worled on or just some? most?

9 months ago the answer was they would be fixed "soon". Then he ignored questions, and now is saying he doesn't have a time frame. That should tell you all you need to know. Bodog's only purpose for Ice is to post about new promotions and tournaments and such. He has no contact with any programmers or staff that can get anything done.

No idea.. I don't have access to that info.

The answer is still soon.. just not anything more specific than that.

Hey guys,

I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday season. Just wanted to do a year end (plus 7 days) wrap up to highlight some of the things that have improved since I’ve come on as a network rep.... and also to look at things that you guys are still looking to get fixed:

- Downloadable hand histories available 24 hours after a hand is played. Hand histories are available in the client for 30 days and downloadable for 7 days. Players are also able to see ALL hole cards
- A new game transactions page that makes it easier to see transactions for different games.
- I haven't seen anything about it lately.. so I feel comfortable saying that we've fixed the lag that plagued you guys for so long earlier this year.
- An improved tournament schedule, including new weekend tournaments and an increase in the number of plo and o8 games available.
- Heads up rematch and same sng register function were added
- 5 minute rule to fight against people standing up and sitting right back down with a lower buyin
- Tables are now popping to the front when it is player's turn to act
- Five new languages were added to the client: Chinese, Spanish, Thai, Vietnamese, and Korean
- Starting stacks were upped on nearly every freezeout under $30 to at least a 3000 starting stack
- A new operator, with new players, will be added soon in TLC888
- MTT and SNG lobby now shows the players position, pinned to the top of the chip count
- New animations for big hands at showdown
- New popup informing a player when they are registering for a rebuy/addon tournament
- Late registration now stands out as a different color in the lobby
- Two successful tournament series- Black Diamond Poker Open and The Mini Poker Series
- A native client for the mac
- Much requested option to be seated anywhere at the table, as well as setting a favorite seat was added
- Improved Hand History Formatting

And issues that you guys are still looking to get fixed:

- Auto-post unchecking itself
- Top up bug where you can't add any chips if you win the pot after clicking the add chips button
- getting immediately booted from a table if disconnected
- pre-action buttons not always working or unchecking after being clicked
- Issue in mtts/sngs where a player doesn't have full options if a short stack is all in in front of them
- View previous hand is only showing one or two previous hand histories
- In the cash lobby, with more than one stake selected, sorting by average pot size does not work

Please let me know if there is anything in that list that I am missing... or things that you would love to see added to the network (fixes, new options, new games you'd like to see). We are entering month 10 of me being your liaison.. and we are in a new year.. and I look forward to continuing to make sure that your voice is being heard and making sure you guys have a great experience at the Bodog Network.

Do you think a designation could be added to the HH's so that tracking programs like Pokeit can determine whether you're playing at a HU, 6m, or Full Ring table?

Thanks.

So I tried to deposit using my debit card, which has worked in the past but was declined, what are the other options? Has anyone used a prepaid visa/gift card?

I have a small suggestion to improve a few of the mtts. Increase late registration time on all SS (5k starting stack) mtts (non turbo) to 90 minutes. Leave the DS (3k starting stack) as is with 65 minutes. This would increase the field sizes and registering at the 89 minute mark would still give you ~20bbs. Please make sure this isnt extended on SS tubos or any other mtts. Thanks

I don't know about anybody else, but I can't see all the hole cards. In fact there is even a note

"Please note: You can only view your own down cards. Other players will only see your cards if they were played through to showdown."

Isn't this a big change? I thought they allowed the viewing of all cards to quiet down the cheating talk.

No, it's the way it has always been. Same as on all sites.

I'm guessing you are talking about looking at the previous hand (that you just played).. because you see this:

You see all hands when hands are available to download, 24 hours after a hand is played.. like so:

you should tighten up the satellite situation - they fill the lobby up (especially on sundays) with the same satty's every 10 minutes. Cut it down to one per hour or something and throw a small guarantee (x amount of seats). They also have a ton of hyper turbo satty's that have 10% rake with only like 10 people regging. If you cut the rake in half on those the real guarantee tournies will have many more players/never have overlay. Seems like a no brainer although i doubt it will change. Just a suggestion.

Bodog_Ice,

I noticed that when trying to join bovada from several different countries, like Russia and Japan (that is choosing that country as your location), the message

"We are sorry. Bovada is not available from your location."

is displayed. I assume people from Japan cannot sign up to bovada?

If you are an American that already has an account and then moves to Japan for some time, like a year, can you

1. Still play or will bovada block that IP
2. Continue to deposit and withdraw money through several of the deposit/withdrawal options (will some not work/will some work) -- for example, WU and moneygram is global

Also, i don't know if it would matter, but this is just temporarily residing in Japan, so I still have a permanent address in America, bank acct, etc.

thanks

Also, I know bovada/bodog has a couple of different sites or something, but the players get pooled together, with that said, would Asian countries sign up to bodog88 instead?

Did anyone get anything for the KOF freeroll tickets? I just think it is so messed up they just ended it so quickly without anything for the players. Anything to make more money I guess is their mentality.

I received an $11 tourny ticket in exchange for something (not sure how many I had in there). On Bovada fwiw.

This!

I'm having a very tough time determining what countries are eligible to play at this point. Bodog88 docs lead me to believe it's very China oriented but that it might accept other players. I have yet to be able to get a hold on a concrete list of which countries though

Just to be clear, Bovada is an operator on the Bodog Network. Your best bet would be to contact your current operator, Bovada, and they should be able to work your options out for you.. for both your play and financial options.

And to answer your final question, yes the Bodog88 operator does focus on the Asian market.

Here are a few things I've noticed that really bug me.
  • The lobby is very slow to update. It often shows tables as having open slots even though they are full.
  • On a similar note, I love to play PLO. Usually when I start the client I can only get in to 2 PLO tables so I just open 2 other NLHE to pass the time. All the sudden I noticed a PLO table open in the lobby. To join that, I have to close one of the NLHE tables. So I close out 1 of my tables, open the PLO table, and bam, it's already full. Now I can't sit back down at the NLHE table because of that rule that prevents you from rejoining a table. Why not do it like normal sites where they make you buy back in with the same amount of chips to prevent ratholing? Either that or fix the lobby so it updates quickly and you don't get up from a table only to find the other one full and cause you to lose your seat.
  • Time to act (especially pre-flop) is way too high. I don't know if some people are doing it on purpose or they have a slow connection or what, but if you get on a table where one guy is waiting 30 seconds every hand preflop before he folds it kills the table. Especially on a site where you can't play more than 4 tables, 30 seconds is way too much preflop and imo it should be much, much shorter, maybe around 10-15 seconds.
  • Why not make hand histories downloadable right away? HUDs don't work, it's all anonymous, what's the harm in letting us see our hand histories right after a session?

Overall I love playing on bodog. Even after they mangled the lobby, made it anonymous, and stole my rakeback away, I still play there. If these issues were addressed (especially the lobby), I think it would make it more enjoyable for everyone.

It's done on purpose to make your experience as a grinder awful.

The timing down every hand is likely caused by the fact it's difficult to know when it's your turn to act b/c the software sucks.

Does anyone else have trouble getting audio on Bovada? Audio on my computer works fine for everything else. I already tried reinstalling. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
