in the software there was a tab which enabled you to convert them to tourney tickets

03:18:53 : A: Becasue you should apply for new username at bodog88.com

03:20:03 : S: You mean that they just can't use their old usernames on Bodog.Eu uk ?

03:22:53 : A: Alright you can't using old username please apply for new one

From a live chat with a moderator on bodog88
How would I be able to open an account with bodog88 if I can't even access the website?

"Blocked Countries

The country you are accessing this site from is blocked from accessing this site."

That's what I see, when I try to access the site

"Regarding your question, players from Germany can only play in Bodog.co.uk due to jurisdiction. Players from the EU and the UK cannot create accounts with Bodog88." This is what I got back from Bodog support (not Bodog88).

Same here. We can't register at any bodog site anymore.

No he probably won't comment. It's not stealing money. You are just being a baby. The last time to convert points into cash was a long long time ago.

There's 2 tournaments today for 25k points in the aggregate. If you can not play them well hey call cs.... but complaining to bodog ice is just lame cause you come off like a cowardly keyboard jockey.

One thing of concern is the whole leave here. Unlike others I find the software upgrade in dec almost flawless. Ill take the software over prebf ap or ft any day. It is just disturbing to me that they would spend boatloads of money on this then leave a major major market.

I know those guys can play on stars on whatnot but still. I checked calvin's site and there is like nil mention of it.

Well dont know what your problem is family guy, but if it comes across as if i am blaming ice thats not the case. He is doing a great job and i just wanted to look him up on whats going on with our points?!

To state it a little more clearer. Noone got informed by bodog about this move and now they say the points balance will be deleted as bodog.co.uk wont offer poker anymore. From my point of view thats stealing players money, as support is converting tourney tickets into cash, but not the points into cash, which could have been used to buy standard tourney tickets in the client.

If bodog had informed its players earlier we would have had the option to make points to tickets and those would have been converted to cash, but they dont exchange points to cash now.

So if you still wanna call me a baby go ahead, but you have to be honest, that it is not the right way bodog took regarding this issue.

Have a nice day

Pretty much this. When they blocked Eastern countries they gave them like 2 weeks to cashout and we got the info like the day before (and there wasn't even any e-mail send to us!!).

We got ****ed big time. The way they handled this was disrespectfull for us, their players.

I find this paragraph pretty funny. Couple weeks ago I am playing in a PLO game. 2 players are soft colluding against me. I send a HH to support with table/time and how they are colluding. The response I received said something to the sort

"We have reviewed the Hand History and am glad to see the hand went smoothly."

That was the last I heard about it...

they banned everyone from eastern europe so they must be trying to stop cheating. i have to assume this is why they were banned but im not sure.

They banned Europe not just Eastern Europe from my understanding. Don't think it has anything to do with cheating.

finally my points have been converted to cash.

In all fairness they did bar eastern Europe nearly a month ago with a little more notice than this recent exclusion. Same result obv.

Hey guys,

First I want to say I'm sorry to those guys that are now unable to play on the network. I was told that this was a decision at the operator level, not the network level. Going through the few threads that discussion about this was occurring, it was clear that support wasn't exactly on the same page, so I did ask that word be passed along so that people would get the correct answer (which seems to be the case now judging by the threads). Because this was an operator decision, that's all I have for you guys about this matter.

Any questions/comments about anything else, as always, just let me know

Ice

Does this mean Bodog/Bovada isn't really a network but more a collection of independent operators using the name?

I mean, can any individual operator pick & choose whatever they offer, or even completely ignore the network services & fly off on a tangent (like focussing on Baccarat, or whatever the hell Bodog.uk is doing)?

This really confuses me.

So I've read ~5 posts in the past 15 pages or so referring to being unable to login on the Mac client and receiving the message: "Your login request cannot be processed at this time. Please try again." and every time it has been skimmed over by a "liason" I've uninstalled/reinstalled the client and tried resetting my PW, neither of which worked. I can log into the website but not the client.

I downloaded the software with every intention of depositing and catching up on missed poker from the past year+ but I have yet to be able to. I'm at the point where I almost don't care anymore and I'll take my business elsewhere. Why hasn't this issue been resolved, or at the very least acknowledged?

Apoligies.. I thought I had posted in here. I have passed along the mac issue. I will pass it along again.

Unable to open Bovada on a Mac now... Worked fine yesterday, now it tries to open for a split second then goes away. Anyone else having this issue?

This is an issue that some players are experiencing, and the network is currently working on. The Bodog Network apologize for your inconvenience. If you need help getting on, you should contact your operators support and they should be able to troubleshoot things for you and get you up and running.

i just started playing on your site after a hiatus. havent played since the switch to the bovada software. is there no more option to convert points to cash? also is there no more reload bonus? One more thing. i have been playing like 16 hours straight and have only made about 700 points. this seem really low. did you alter the way points are accrued? thank you.

edit: i am playing a mix of games. plo .25/.50-1/2 and also sng goes ranging from 20 to 80 dollars. i have enough to buy a 5 dollar tournament ticket. this is so bad for 16 hours of play at these limits unless i am missing something.

Read through the last few pages but still not sure if I understand this correctly. Will European players be able to play on Bodog88 once they are no longer able to play on bodog.eu (or whatever other variation of bodog they were playing on before)?
10-11-2012 , 07:10 AM
hmm, didnt even know that bodog shut down EU players till today.
am i screwed now?
seems i can login and use sports betting stuff still

as a canadian who is living in europe right now will i be able to play again when i go back to canada? (roughly 2 months)

This sounds like most networks - skins can often offer what they choose, take players from countries they choose (as long as the network allows those countries), etc. Of course it looks different at every network, and some are more controlling than others, but what bodog.co.uk did is something that many skins on other networks could choose to do.
10-11-2012 , 09:37 AM
ok. That sounds reasonable. Thanks.
