Like I've said before, I'm playing on the site pretty much every day and have experienced a small bit of this lag.. so I am noting the info and passing it along.
For the last 3-4 nights the lag has happened between 12:20-12:30am CST. Like clockwork.

Ice, are they aware that the hand history implementation seems to be bust? I haven't been able to DL any of the HH's since 4/05, all the of ones requested since then are stuck at "Download Requested."

HELP! When on the site playing my computer locks up. Trying to track it down I opened my resource monitor and find it to be a SVCHOST.EVE is holding things up in what is called the wait chain. Has anyone else had this issue? Can't really play anymore as the lock ups make it almost impossible.

hey bodog iceman

just pull up any table ,review the chat history, you should see PLENTY of bitching about the horrid software, the hand history will appear there as well, doh!

also u said u play there everyday and have experienced a SMALL amount of lag.............. gotta call bull**** on that one

I say all this in love, as i am loyal customer, but the fish are getting frustrated, and once it isnt fun for them, we are done here!!!!!!
(mush be infuriating playing 1 table)

If Bodog can't see the massive amounts of lag on their own site then they might as well just shut it down.

I'm not a programmer, but how hard would it be to put a couple lines of code in that would tell them that a hand has taken a long time even without anyone using their timeclock?

It would be harder than just viewing their own tables and seeing the lag for themselves.

Ice, I think Bodog needs to change their stance about certain security measures. I was chatting with someone last night who reported a player for chat abuse, and he said all he got was the standard form email of "we'll look into it" and then of course their stance that they won't reveal what they've done.

The problem with this is that with anon tables we'll never ever know if we run into the same person again, or if anything has been done. This means that Bodog can effectively ignore any sort of player complaint, anything from chat abuse up through downright cheating and collusion. They can just send a form letter saying they will look into it but because of their policy they will not reveal what they did.

As players, we have no assurances that they'll even look into the issue. They have a history of doing absolutely nothing in regards to collusion, bots and chat abuse complaints, and with the anonymous players it's now a very real possibility that they flat out won't do anything.

PokerStars is the largest and most successful site, despite what Calvin Ayre wants us to believe. They tell users straight out what they did in situations. Why can't Bodog do this?

We were notifying them of lag issues back in November '11. I'm sure they've been working hard at fixing it and will alleviate the problem any day now.

yes, that's sarcasm in case you're wondering.

I have two laptops and for some reason one of them constantly freezes with bodog and the other does not. I am fairly certain though that it isn't my computer because I am playing on other networks just fine. The computer that is working is the older and ****tier one so I am wondering if there is a problem with windows 9? Thank you for any help.
04-16-2012 , 09:34 PM
If you already have Windows 9 on your computer, that would likely cause a problem.

I played one short session earlier today, and then a few hours tonight. Here's the time that the site lagged, all CST:

3:18pm
9:17pm
10:17pm
11:17pm

So Ice, the obvious question to ask them is what's going on at :17 after the hour.
04-17-2012 , 08:45 AM
probably this happens

There are problems with buying in and reloading with this new update. It took forever for the cashier to pop up for me to select how much money I wanted to sit down with and even timed out a few times. Then when reloaded it took an extremely long time for the cashier window to pop up again.

It looked liked others were having the same problem too because the seat would say reserved for a long time and then the seat would be empty.

lol i mean windows 7. No one else having problems with the client freezing frequently?
