Re: ***Bodog Poker Network Official Thread*** FAQ in First Post

Ok, So Bodog allows us to review player histories after 24 hours. I'm perfectly capable of analyzing these histories without third party software. But I opted to pay a small fee to see these histories in a more intelligible manner. I saw possible cheaters. I reported my findings. Now I'm the one in trouble for reporting problems.

FWIW, they define "unfair" advantage in their terms of service.
Quote:
We define EPA Programs as including computer software and non-software-based databases or profiles (e.g., web sites and subscription services) and we consider access to or the ability to gather data or information on other players by any means that would not be accessible via their own first-hand experience (i.e. observation of game play) to be "unfair".
I've never used HM, but from my understanding of what it does (someone correct me if I'm wrong), it would not fall under that definition of "unfair", unless you were getting hands from an external database (which obviously, you can't do on Bodog).

I don't think it's banned and don't think their support knows everything accurately so they could have misinformed you.

You should report colluders. When I mentioned a screenshot I meant of the hand in the bodog client. But the hand number should be enough.

If you played zone poker yesterday beware of a bug not ending a session properly. I have one of them continually hung up. Right now I am missing My 2nd to last session for the night.

Basically replying to all of your posts, but there's a few things to learn about Bodog's support...the biggest one is that the first person to reply to your email is almost always going to be wrong. I don't know what it is with them, whether it's a language barrier thing or what, but they always screw up that first communication.

Their own TOS states that any software that can do something that you couldn't do yourself at the table with the info provided is against the rules. This includes software that would screen scrape and give you suggestions on how to play, or something like that. HEM is completely 100% allowed, because, although it would be hard to do, if you really wanted to, you could track all of those stats yourself. They just saw a third party program and spouted out some nonsense about it.

You need to hold them accountable and tell them that their answer is bull****. Escalate it to a manager and tell them the issue is not you using a perfectly acceptable program; rather it's a possible case of collusion. If the hand you posted is legit (and I have no reason to assume it isn't), it's either a misclick or cheating. Were you able to find any other hands to support the collusion?

I know you feel like your account is at risk, but don't. Bodog showed up here years ago and stated that these types of programs (HEM, PT, HI) are perfectly acceptable and within the TOS.

Re: ***Bodog Poker Network Official Thread*** FAQ in First Post

Hi Morphy,
I did not see other obvious examples of collusion. But then again, I think it's perfectly fine to muck AQ or even AK when an early position player raises. I'm playing DoNs where such nittery is the norm. I've thrown away AA preflop one time intentionally and I've timed out two times where I had AA once and KK once, but it would be a rare event where I happened to time out with KK while someone else was holding AA.
All I requested from support is that they look into this hand. I made the mistake of attaching a screen shot of the hand.

Still, that shouldn't change support's direction from investigating collusion to targeting you. If there was only one hand there's a number of things that explain it away, so likely you won't get anything out of it, which is a shame. But the attitude support gave you really irritates me because it shows the rep clearly doesn't understand their own TOS.

Re: ***Bodog Poker Network Official Thread*** FAQ in First Post

Hey guys,

Just a few things:

yukoncpa- It seems that there was a bit of misinformation passed along, as you are more than welcome to review your hands after they have been played. As far as the collusion goes, collusion is looked at very closesly.. and as a result, reported incidents are taken VERY seriously. To allow people to collude and cheat players would go against the policies that the network has put into place in order to protect players.

Bonus Box- Some operators removed the bonus box for now in order to work out some kinks that it had. Players that are working on bonuses should have been notified, and if you haven't, you can email your operator's support for more information.

Zone Issue- There are some players that are experiencing an issue with Zone where they aren't removed from a table.. which makes them unable to join tables again. This is being worked on.

Connection Issues- This is still being worked on around the clock and the network hopes to have these issues fixed soon. In the meantime, if you are disconnected from a table, take a screenshot and pm it to me please.

Thanks,

Ice

So on the Zone getting stuck issue... 2 things,

1) if they are aware and working on it, why are they asking me to reset my modem, restart my computer, reinstall the client, take screen shots, etc?

2) is there no way for them to "un stick" us?

Hey Ice, any plans for existing NY/NJ players to be able to deposit again in the future?

Re: ***Bodog Poker Network Official Thread*** FAQ in First Post

Some windowing issues I'm having with the Mac software (MacBook Air + 30" Dell monitor):

1) When I "grab" a table to drag it, it jumps upwards a few hundred pixels. It can be difficult to get a table to where I want it.
2) If I click the "Buy More Chips" button, it opens in the middle of the table as usual but then it also jumps upwards several hundred pixels. If the table is near the top of the monitor to begin with, the rebuy window is then off the screen and can't be retrieved, which causes more problems.

The 8/16 LHE tables are currently bugged in the lobby. There can only be one 6-handed or 9-handed table at a time. If a 6-handed 8/16 table is full, there is no way for a table starter to start a 2nd game because there will be no empy table in the lobby. Please get this fixed ASAP, as 8/16 LHE is very popular... usually 2-4 tables of it at night.

I see an empty table for 9m and 6m 8/16. Are you saying that if.. say.. the 6max fills, an empty table won't spawn in the lobby?

Make sure you don't have "Hide empty tables" checked in the top-right corner of your client.

That is correct, but the problem appears to have gone away.

Thanks, that was not the problem though. But it seems to have fixed itself somehow, so all good!

Re: ***Bodog Poker Network Official Thread*** FAQ in First Post

Will you please add 20/40 omaha 8 or better limit? Also 30/60 o8 6max? What about higher than 5/10 stud 8?

With 6 max people will hold their seats more so as to not lose a seat in the game, rather than hop around as happens so often at 9 handed tables because people don't have to worry about getting another seat.

Ice, do you guys plan on adding regular cash game and/or tournaments to use with the Bovada mobile software?

I just tried using it with Zone Poker and it worked out well. I would like to play higher stakes though and not Zone

I've passed these suggestions along.

Re: ***Bodog Poker Network Official Thread*** FAQ in First Post

Still need to add more Omaha hi Low tournaments.

a Daily $30-$50 dollar PL Omaha Hi Low 10k Starting Chip Tourny is needed daily.

Also a Daily High Rollr Hi Low Omaha Hi Low tourny is needed $75-$100 Buyin maybe 10k starting Chips And Turbo. Has to be turbo because theirs routinely a morning tourny that has 10k starting stack with 30 people which last 4-5 hours sometimes which is ridicolous. A turbo should cut that in half and make it reasonable more fun and more people will play.

Bovada Definetly has the population to add these tournies. Every Hi Low game goes over the gurantee everyday by hundreds of dollars.

FYI, since unfortunately I did not get a response from Ice, I did want to pass along that my connections issues seemed to have finally been resolved. I tried reinstalling the program one more time and either that did the trick or the latest small release that Ice mentioned that fixed the tiling and the slider and that removed the bonus button also happened to alleviate the connection issue.
