I would use that, but I believe that is Bovada's graphic. I did update to something different though... 2+ years with the same avatar is much too long.

In 2012 you could pick your seat. Don't know if this is the case this year, but it was then.

The bovada $500 satellite to the Main Event is $12k package, do you buy winners directly into the tournament, or you send us cash/ give us cash there?

For those that played it last year, how many runners do these satellites usually get? Did anybody hear of any issues from the winners?

1. I'm not sure. You can try emailing support.. or as with the other related question.. someone may be able to chime in with their experience.

2. The first satellite that ran had in the neighborhood of 400 runners, with top 6 getting seats and the remaining cash paid out in $5,000 increments.

For WSOP satty winners, they put the 2k travel expenses in your bovada acct and its on you to get to vegas, book your own hotel, ect. You then meet with a Bovada rep at the Rio who goes to the cage with you and buys you in. You can pick any starting day you would like.. Hope this helps, GL

I will pass your suggestion along.

The network is working on fixing this issue. Right now, connection issues is the biggest issue being worked on, with the table tiling and bet slider right behind.

WHEN are they going to fix the mac software?

Spend forever trying to get tables up, finally find decent ones, software goes to **** and I have to wait 5 minutes to try and get back on decent tables, because the ****ty client just boots you off the tables whenever it shuts down. Bull****.

Made a deposit yesterday through the website. I can't get onto the client at all, used to work fine but it's been 3 or 4 months since i've logged in. When I try to open it it tries to update and then crashes. On an older machine running WinXP. Tried reinstalling and have the same problem.

Very annoying. Even worse is when you forget the name of the table you were on. Kiss that table goodbye to the void in the matrix. It's like it never existed.

Other people on my tables are often disconnecting randomly as well. Often in the middle of hands. Sucks for them / us.

I was checking out Bovada's software tonight and noticed the cashier connects to iesnare.com. That is iovation, as in the old Ultimate Bet people. I was disappointed to see this, although not all that surprised.

Re: ***Bodog Poker Network Official Thread*** FAQ in First Post

Here's a little correspondence with support from this morning about the disconnect issue.

Cliffs: it's not our fault

Quote:
I have been disconnected from my table xxx TBL#123 two times in the last 90 minutes. My internet is perfect (even the Bovada client stays connected) and I rarely experience table disconnects, however they seem to happen more often on weekends. Thankfully they didn't happen while I was in the middle of any hands, but it's frustrating nonetheless. Maybe your networking team could look into it. Thanks.

Quote:
Dear xxx,

Thanks for contacting Bovada Poker Customer Service.

We're sorry to hear how you've been experiencing technical issues while playing in our Poker software.

We checked Table Id 123, and we can confirm that we didn't experience any technical issue during that time. We do understand your concern that these issues may be originating from our end; however, if that was the case, all players would be affected, not just one or two.

As other players were able to continue in the game, the problem you may have experienced could be a result of a lag in your internet connection.

Between your computer and our servers, our messages go through several routers, often in the dozens. If at any of these stops it can cause a player to experience a lag or total disconnection from the game server. These occurrences aren’t within our, or your control. When this happens, the only thing you can do is reconnect as quickly as possible to re-enter the game. In terms of a lag, our servers have no way of knowing the cause of not getting an action from a player; after the 30 seconds, you'll be placed on auto-fold. After missing 3 Big Blinds you'll be automatically sat out.

Several external factors may also contribute to a connectivity issue. To help with your connection issues, we recommend that you power cycle your computer and modem first to refresh your connection. Deleting your browser's cache and cookies before accessing the software also resolves several connectivity problems. For a stronger internet connection, you may also consider having a wired connection to your modem.
There's no lag. When it disconnects me I'm immediately booted from a table, usually when it wasn't even my turn, so there is no clock to run down. The game window goes dark and it says I was disconnected. Sometimes it will boot me from a table and the other tables are going fine, so my connection to Bovada is alright.

If this happens during a hand, does Bovada provide any refunds if my hand was folded before I was able to reconnect? Sometimes I'm able to reconnect in time but I've already been booted from the table. It would be nice if it let me back in, instead of making me wait 5 minutes because it thinks I exited out on my own.

Quote:
Dear xxx,

Thanks for contacting Bovada Poker Customer Service.

As stated on our previous correspondence, lags and disconnections are a frustrating but unavoidable part of online gaming. For the most part, these issues do not originate on either end of the connection, but somewhere in between. When you connect to an online site, your connection will go through a number of servers, all across the country. If any one of these servers has a technical issue, you will feel it on your end. The best thing to do when this happens is log off and back into the software to establish a new route to the site. If you are still experiencing problems, try restarting your computer as this will usually solve any system-based issue.

We checked the table, and the game has continued normally for the other seated players. We know it might seem like the connection issue is on our side, but that doesn’t seem to be true. We act responsibly when we experience service issues by refunding buy-ins and taking responsibility for the issue, so rest assured we’ll do so if you’re affected.

This is just awful. I was excited for a big sunday and the software is unplayable. Is it even worth playing today? Will this get better and stop crashing today?

I won a $5.50 sat to the $35 main event sat last night. The ticket expires tomorrow, and there are no $35 sattys running today. What gives? How do I convert this ticket to cash?
